No, fuck you, it's NOT OVER UNTIL I DO MY FINAL MATH TEST AND FINISH MY GODDAMN QUEST THE NEXUS CAN HAVE THIS MOD WHEN THEY PRY IT FROM MY COLD, STUDY-HARDENED HANDS!
I guess I could learn some questing in the CK when I get home after the weekend since I do not own Diablo 3.
Ok, I was out for lunch but now I'm back, and I have an idea. The following week, the mod will officially be on hiatus. After the 27th, I will take up the role as project/team coordinator, since I'll have more time + I've actually taken 2 years of team lead classes. This doesn't mean that I have a final say or "control" the project or anything, this just means that I will act as a hub for all the work input and result output. rancor.meat@gmail.com ^ that's my mail. I want you, the mod team, script team, everyone who's contributed thus far to mail me current progress on every field. Tell me what you've done, what you finished, and what's still WIP(even if you've posted detailed progress in the thread. I want to know everything!). put the subject prefix as "luftahraan project:" and then whatever your mail is about after the colon. Luftahraan WILL BE FINISHED, it will NOT GET INTO THE HANDS OF THE NEXUS PEOPLE. LUFTAHRAAN IS A FACEPUNCH PROJECT AND WILL STAY THAT WAY. Work begins in max 2 weeks from now. Get psyched, people! [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Also script people you can mail me either entire documents or links to what you've written thus far.
Well, I already gave my "leader status" to Wheeze as being the most active modder, but if he agrees, it's sure.
As I said, it's not a leader position as much as it is a coordination position. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Besides, he's needed at the front lines making us more cells.
Guys it was a joke. :v: Progress is just really slow and we don't really have a focus at the moment. But I'm sure G-Strogg can remedy that.
I will force focus this mod out of oblivion (into skyrim huehue)

ALL LUFTAHRAAN CONTRIBUTORS MUST READ: I approve of this. G-Strogg is now a "Project Coordinator". All important changes he wants to make to the development process of this project will still have to be approved by me. With that said, if you want to become or stay as a contributor of Luftahraan then please go over your previous posts on facepunch and collect a list of all the things you have done for this project and email it to him. And for future edits: I strongly encourage you to email him a list of what you've done when You are done editing. He will be keeping an eye on this thread so it's not vital but it's encouraged. But you need to email him your past work. Basically it would look something like this: I basically went through my FP posts and got a list of things I've done and then I had to write down the rest from memory. Again, if you do this then we will become much more organized and the development for this proeject will become much smoother.

I still say we need a major overhaul of the system, as opposed to this socialistic contribution system, but that's just my opinion.
I'm glad we're on the same page. It can only be greater from now on!
I'm glad we're on the same page. It can only be greater from now on!
Thank god nothing good comes out over the summer that might kill everyone.

For example, only people who sends me the mails talked about (or your dropbox) will be allowed to continue to contribute, and we will make sure that new editors are sure of what they want to do. That said, me and wheeze will also review the writers work to make sure it's consistent with the lore and that they keep a certain quality standard. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Would you mind posting a link to the dropbox?
We need now a new thread? :v:
Nah not yet. Maybe starting next month.
You guys planning on doing any voices for the NPC's?
Yes, all of them. Mail me at the link posted above if you're interested (this goes for VA's who already has shown interest too!) , preferrably with a sample so the people making the npcs can find what they're looking for.
Nah not yet. Maybe starting next month.
Me and AZaer were talking and it would attract more people if we made a new thread that was more concise, more detailed, more organized and actually broadcasted the necessity of more contributors, and furthermore, calling this socialist is not a bad thing, but is partially true. Our main issue is simply the lack of incentive and the time consuming and albeit difficult process of the use of CK. We are a boat in the middle of the first quarter in a lake, and we're lacking wind, morale, and manpower to keep oaring. -edit- This is the most recent Dropbox. Has all VA, custom art, writing details, quests, posters, etc. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kkdhsgy1o861sl1/OUO-quHeDN/Luftahraan
It would seem really stupid to make a thread right now, when we're literally doing nothing. I say hold until the hiatus is over.
Perhaps once summer has officially started?
It would seem really stupid to make a thread right now, when we're literally doing nothing. I say hold until the hiatus is over.
It's your decision, but we should make a better thread when we start again is what I say, and I listed my reasons above. Also the Dropbox should have all VA and their samples. Do you need a list of writers that contributed to the Dropbox?
If you can bother mailing me that, then sure. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] And yes, we are making a new thread, just not yet.
I'm glad you guys are keeping it up. This looks fantastic.
Keep the mails coming! only zeldar and wheeze have mailed me thus far.
Sent you an email
Alright I just sent mine also I might be editing today if that's alright
Sure. What do you intend to do? (also mail what you did afterwards) [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Also I didn't recieve your mail, you might want to doublecheck the address.
Sure. What do you intend to do? (also mail what you did afterwards)
I'm just gonna finish up the arena barracks and then I might try to improve the betting and fighting systems [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Alright I re-sent the email let me know if you get it
I'm extremely proud of you guys. Glad to see that the project is still very much alive even when we are going through this hiatus. And I agree we should make a new, kick ass thread. But, like G-Strogg said, not yet. We will make a new thread when the development is starting to ramp up a bit more so that when people start to visit the thread they will find it more appealing and therefore recruiting more contributors. Oh and I'm still really hooked in Diablo 3 so I won't be editing for maybe another week or something.
Editing!
I just read the book "cliffracers: Fact or fiction?" which someone wrote (I don't know who). I just want to point out that there's a similar book in oblivion that describes the extinction of the cliffracers, and that it was in fact Jiub who lead that (yes, that Jiub) [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] for a more lore-friendly book, revise the book according to this:
Saint Jiub (?b - 3E 433) Saint Jiub was a prisoner who arrived from the Imperial Province to Morrowind on the same boat as the Nerevarine in 3E 427. He was canonized by the Tribunal Temple for driving the cliff racers from Vvardenfell, though what sphere he is a patron of is unknown. He was killed during the Oblivion Crisis in a Daedra attack. Saint Jiub's Fair is a circus-like festival held in his honor.
