What with all this talk about Psychonauts 2, I figured this would be a good idea. I know it's a ridiculously slow start for a thread content wise, but as this thread grows, I was going to edit it, and make modifications. Welcome to the world of Psychonauts! You play as psychic, Razputin. Who ran away from home to learn how to hone his skills as a psychic, and become a psychonaut! Raz gets taken into the camp by the councilors, but they tell him his father will be coming to get him in a few days. Raz finds his way into an evil scheme by an evil doctor named Dr. Loboto. Hilarity and adventure ensues, as Raz is forced to enter the minds of the mentally insane to defeat the evil doctor's plot! The characters: Raz: Raz is a really cool kid. Wearing a leather suit, goggles, and a leather hat of some sort, he's the protagonist of the Psychonauts game. Lili Zanotto: Lili is a strange, goth type of girl who has a crush on Raz. [sp]She gets captured by Dr. Loboto and almost gets lobotomized[/sp] Dogen: Dogen is a weird little guy with powers so uncontrollable and extreme, he has to wear a tinfoil hat EVERYWHERE, to contain them. (Otherwise, you'll end up dismembered or someshit.) Coach Oleander: Coach Oleander is a batshit insane war veteran, and [sp]the main antagonist[/sp] Dr. Loboto: Dr. Loboto is a crazy little shit who [sp]kidnaps all the campers and attempts to lobotomize them to use the brains for war. [/sp] Ford Cruller: Ford Cruller is an odd old man who likes dressing up as different things in the camp. (Camp store clerk, camp janitor, etc.). Thread rules: Use spoiler tags generously, we don't want to spoil a perfectly good game for newcomers, now do we? So you missed out on playing the game in its glory days of the original Xbox-PC? What the fuck are you waiting for? Go get it NOW! http://store.steampowered.com/app/3830/ And if you like the soundtrack, why not buy it too? Amazing game. Buy it or you suck.
I got this from my uncle last year and it is great.
Amazing game. Buy it or you suck.
best 40 bucks of my life
I've had it since Christmas of 2005. I just recently got it for PC. [editline]15th February 2012[/editline] Anyone else remember seeing this: and getting the shit creeped out of them?
That's a pretty shitty trailer if you ask me... Amazing game though I highly suggest it to anyone considering, even if this kinda of game isn't really "your type".
It was the E3 2002 trailer.
My friend bought me this game 2 days before the whole Double Fine kickstarter thing by making me a deal.(If I beat Psychonauts he will watch Game of Thrones) Needless to say, I love the game and you should buy it.
(If I beat Psychonauts he will watch Game of Thrones)
EVERYBODY WINS.
My milk is delicious.
My favorite character has to be Nein, with Sheegor coming in second. i am the milkman my milk is delicious
Special delivery to this address! I have a playthrough of the milkman level on youtube somewhere. I did it aaaages ago. At the time I was planning on doing playthroughs of my other favourite levels, but I kinda lost interest in that 'recording video games for the internet' thing. Hell, I was planning on doing the entire game at one point. Kinda like a Let's Play, though I'd never heard of those at the time. Last christmas I bought this for a good friend, and she loves it too. Everyone loves it. The game is incredible. And now I feel like starting another playthrough... I've only beaten the game about 4 times... Though I do pride myself on literally knowing exactly where every single scavenger hunt item is and how to obtain them by heart. Someone test my scavenger hunt knowledge!
Amazing game, shitty OP.

Stay classy, Youtube users. Anyway, I get the feeling that Psychonauts is to me what Deus Ex is to many other people: every single time someone talks about it, I get this immense urge to re-install the game and play it, yet again.
Paid 4 dollars for the original box (a fuckton of cds). Fantastic game, would buy it again.
An amusing little crossover i think you may like. But damn those agents had the best voices ever.
I recently bought the game and was wondering if I could go back into Neins mind? I missed a couple of fragments at one point.
I traded this game for a Tf2 hat weeeeeeee
Here's another crossover trailer (including spoilers): The Milkman Conspiracy is definately my favorite part of the game. Some NPCs in Skyrim with their stupid lines like "I am X, I am doing Y" remind me of those agents.

OP Raz doesn't wear a scarf. He wears a green turtleneck with a leather jacket over it.

Dang it, urge to reinstall is massive right now. AND MY DVD DRIVE IS BROKEN.
I love this game so fucking much... FOR FREEDOM! Also, Vernon. "My first memory is of my dog, Lady. Lady and I used to go for long walks. They would go on and on and on and on. This one time, we went on a walk we called, “The Longest Walk of All Time.” First, we went to the end of our street. And then we turned left. And then we turned right. And then we turned a soft right. And then we turned a deep left. And then we took a side road. And then we stopped and asked for directions. And then Lady had to go to the bathroom. And then Lady saw a gopher. And then Lady had to stop and scratch. And then I bent down to tie my shoe. And then we walked three miles. And then we walked two miles. And then we walked four miles. And then we walked half a mile. And then we made a U-turn. And then we had a snack. And then we got lost for awhile. And then we got attacked by bees. And then I fell down a manhole and had to reset my own arm back in the socket. And then we just stood still for awhile. ...Didn’t I mention the gopher yet? Thought I hit that. Okay, let me start over. First we went to the end of the street…"
The milkman has completed his run
OP Raz doesn't wear a scarf. He wears a green turtleneck with a leather jacket over it.
Oh, thanks for telling me that. I could've sworn I saw a red scarf that mixed with the green turtleneck. I'll change that right away. [editline]15th February 2012[/editline] Is it bad that I didn't enjoy Lungfishopolis? I also didn't enjoy going back to that [sp]post-kidnapping camp when the psychic animals are roaming about to get the 400 arrowheads forthe Milkman Conspiracy [/sp]

Also lungfishopolis was fun but there's not enough depth to warrant a second play-through of it. As far as [sp]the amnimals, I dunno, I was really high rank before they appeared so I could just have my way with them[/sp]
