I sure did, trying to download the files right now and then we'll try again with me hosting the game^^
"commentary 0" before trying to play. Fixed.
"commentary 0" before trying to play. Fixed.
Oh... I know what you mean.
I wonder why it does that. Is it a security thing? It detects that you have edited the game and doesn't let you play?
So do all the lines and scripted events work as well?
So do all the lines and scripted events work as well?
Yeah, but glitched a lot at parts.
Yeah, okay, I started a co-op game, invited Gordon Frohm, set commentary to 1 and then I typed "map sp_a2_laser_chaining". Gordon Frohm got disconnected and I was stuck bewteen the menus like this: [IMG_THUMB]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/578920795605487926/53EB6172974CE0B92EF7797ED6113750341A620B/[/IMG_THUMB] [editline]22nd April 2011[/editline] What do?

Only type commentary 1 when you are at The Hub or the training course. Do not type it when coop is loading. EDIT: You need to type: changelevel "map name here", not map "map name here". Example: changelevel sp_a2_laser_chaining
So what happens when one person dies? Do you have to start over again (since the map gets reloaded after every death), or do you just respawn like you would normally in co-op?
So what happens when one person dies? When you die, you will need to use noclip to get back to the chamber.
-snippy-
-snip, didn't see second page-

This is fun as hell despite the bugginess. :v:
This is fucking amazing. Hey, do you think you could finish this anytime soon? o:

Imagine if you both had the weaker portal gun, so can both could only place one portal, one person orange and the other blue; two people acting as one.
Imagine if you both had the weaker portal gun, so can both could only place one portal, one person orange and the other blue; two people acting as one.
(goes afk) friend screams at you for 30 minutes while you eat a sandwhich gooood times
Imagine if you both had the weaker portal gun, so can both could only place one portal, one person orange and the other blue; two people acting as one.
I scoured the console for a command like this but no luck. I remember this being mentioned way back during development and I wish they had left it in.
Now someone needs to port the Portal 1 levels to Portal 2 co-op. That would be awesome!
i am uploading a vid on how to do that right now :D
this is awesome
Sorry for asking such a daft question. How does one host a co-op game?
How cool would a CO-OP Walkthrough for the SP maps be? Fucking funny I bet, what with all the bugs ensuing in hilarity amongst the CO-OP partners. Depends on the two people making the Walkthrough though^^
Sorry for asking such a daft question. How does one host a co-op game?
When you press the "Look for an partner online" button, be sure it says "Waiting for an partner...", because that means you are the host. Might have to give it a few tries.
I scoured the console for a command like this but no luck. I remember this being mentioned way back during development and I wish they had left it in.
The portal_linkage_ids are actually used to decide who places which set of portals in coop mode, but the colours placed are purely from the class. So theoretically strip weapons and give both individuals a weapon_portalgun with different settings, one only allowing left and one only allowing right, then use that console command to set both players having the same linkage id and there you go. Of course, i'm talking out of my ass here, but that console command does work. Had a lot of fun removing my buddy's portals and watching him being confused. The settings for weapon_portalgun should be possible since, after all, Prelude did it.
Anyone else have that red score box on the bottom right when they play the singleplayer maps??
I've seen this on other screens yesh. Interesting....
It also appears in demos if you dont disable it through console.
