Hi guys, We've all been busy as hell with the Housewarming Party as you can imagine. I still read this thread every now and then to collect feedback, and since we have been doing recordings with most of the actors for Payday, I'm going to try put in new material on a regular basis after the Housewarming Party. I know some of you have mentioned that all the robbers should be able to call eachother by name, and I aim to make that my top prioriry when editing the new material. Other than that, you will notice a lot of new VO during the Housewarming Party! Hope you guys enjoy it!
From Overkill_Oscar off the VO suggestion thread.
So, allegedly this was found on the site before being removed by Overkill ,and it's from the 7th day (being the weapon) http://i.imgur.com/F35ji2P.jpg [sp]So we got Gage,Adler, the butcher, Chains with the breaker shotgun and two asian looking thugs. The site icon for the 7th day is a shotgun shell. And we're still missing the Street Howitzer shotgun and its akimbo variant[/sp]
I missed the special unit before the site got removed :( Anyone got a screenshot saved.
Wonder if DMR-s will get any sort of balancing. Sure, 220 damage is nice, but with a mag of 75? Questionable, it puts M308 to shame.
No touchy my 220 damage m16 pls.
Why not just buff the m308 then
[sp]and two asian looking thugs.[/sp]
[sp]Possible relation to Jiro's thing with his son?[/sp]

Only nerf I can think of that wont fuck the DMR-s up is the inability to attach magazine mods. DMR-s are fine by themselves, it's the Quadstack Magazine that makes them overpowered and the M308 weak in comparison.
Then let's give the 308 a quadstack magazine.
Great idea man! If everything is overpowered, nothing is, right? /s You do realize that by doing that, M308 would triumph any DMR because of it's lightning fast reload speed?
so far the best thing about this update is that its actually made this thread not dead for once lol personally hoping for some new music for todays update (ala death wish got a song) but im doubtful
Great idea man! If everything is overpowered, nothing is, right? /s You do realize that by doing that, M308 would triumph any DMR because of it's lightning fast reload speed?
My current build with all my skills makes the reload speed of the DMR guns just as fast as the M308 without the skills I have specced in. Same build also makes the M308 not as underpowered as you'd think, 25 rounds is more than enough to do crowd control, back it up with a weapon like the Swedish K or Krinkov that's built for damage and you've got an effective damage control weapon, with almost non existant reload times. [t]http://i.imgur.com/PcBmgSI.png[/t] Despite the M308 being quicker in reload and packing a sporty 25 rounds per reload, which is more than enough to suit my needs for crowd control, I would still stick with the DMRs due to the way they look and their fire rates, and amount of mods they have giving them versatility.
Then let's give the 308 a quadstack magazine.
.308 Lapua Magnum quadstacked magazines DO NOT exist The M14 biggest mag is a doublestacked 30 rounds mag

M308 with Lock n Load aced will make it's reload almost non-existent. Pair that with a 60 round magazine and you'll have a powerhouse. Giving the M308 a quadstack mag as you said would turn it form a poor choice into the best choice.
Big Oil Day 1 is still fun to stealth [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/262723759217628036/C7DCB81312B36135D1407112A7F28899C3E950AE/[/t]
Judging by the throwable icon, we're getting an M84 stun/flash grenade Maybe the enemy flashbangs will be changed too? No more "Your opinion,my choice!"?

They should honestly bring back their old "total ammo vs. damage" total ammo calculations that were used before CF2015 happened and make weapon mods that drastically change damage profiles apply to that rule too. Bar LMGs/Snipers/Launchers, most weapons had a total damage output of 3000~/2000~ for primaries/secondaries. After min/maxing, total damage was around 7000~/5000~ i.e. a primary weapon capable of hitting 60 fairly easily would have 120~ total ammo, a secondary weapon capable of hitting 80 damage would have 60~ total ammo and so forth.
If One Down is exactly as it says it is, why shouldn't it just be a mutator? I suspect it will have different changes too.

If they make a new tier of enemy, I'll be surprised if it's something new. Though, if they make it Murkywater like I've been saying it should have been for a while, at least then I can brag about it. I'll also be surprised if they alter any AI behavior to make the game more difficult, since that seems out of Overkill's range.
Knowing Overkill, we're all gonna be disappointed in a few hours or completely fazed by their black magic
The new difficulties are probably not gonna be great, but I'm looking forward to higher payout.
We heard you the last time you know :v:
Yeah, sorry. I get a little too cynical sometimes.
The new difficulties are probably not gonna be great, but I'm looking forward to higher payout.
That makes me wonder. Since stealth bypasses having to shoot it out, and thus, most of the challenge of a difficulty setting, is One Down going to have any changes to stealth? I know Death Wish added a few new things like Titan Cameras, so I have to wonder if it'll be the same for One Down. I can imagine it now. A guard that can't be killed without immediately raising the alarm because his vitals are tied to the HQ. That would be horrifying in heists where sneaking around is really awkward because of limited space.
