it's going to be a very very long time before artificial limbs are anywhere near as strong as flesh and bone limbs
Technology is telescopic in its evolution and highly surprising. Could happen sooner than you'd think.
wake me up when they create an artificial brain thatll make me think better that's when i know we're in the future.

It's gonna be nigh impossible to transfer your active consciousness so if we do get a fully artificial brain it will just be a copy of you not the current, conscious you.
uh oh here comes philosophy class all over again what if you gradually replace your brain with artificial components over time?
The Brain of Theseus
uh oh here comes philosophy class all over again what if you gradually replace your brain with artificial components over time?
Well for starters we'd probably need a way to prevent brain death as well as loss of memories/god knows what else when replacing parts. The potential for psychological damage would be excessively high whereas in theory, a brain cage would merely be an amplifier akin to a pacemaker. And as Mamiya says it's Theseus' paradox at play so you could imagine the never-ending moral debate if it were pushed forward.
That'd be a really cool story tho. A guy's brain is gradually replaced with artificial components and then suddenly starts behaving really fucking strangely, only to find out his brain may or may not be dead but the components are so integrated there's no way of telling or something

If Cyberpunk had a bible Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep would be old testament and Altered Carbon would be the new.
I know that people hate Angry Joe on here, and they fail pretty hard on that demo(because they went for Give Me Deus Ex) but it shows gameplay pretty well. I really can't wait for this game, everything about it just rises the hype for me, but my laptop won't be able to run it with a 99% guaranteed chance. oh well :saddowns:

Running into enemies and constantly going loud whilst being bad at the game isn't a good way to show the game off at all. I'm pretty certain he played HR so I'm not sure why he's acting surprised at everything especially things from the previous game like double takedowns.

Definitely seems like a great way to introduce the player to augmentations again. I like this tutorial.

Really hate the awkward exposition at the start, but apart from that it looks fantastic. Sarif's looking nice
Are both of his arms are augmented now? Or is he wearing a fancy glove of some sorts?
Looks like both hands judging by the joints on the right hand's fingers.
Considering that David Sarif should be in his late 50s by now he looks even younger now. If you ask me that augmented shit is probably giving him immortality.
I wonder why would he have his second hand augmented? Did something else happen inbetween the games that made him do it?
I wonder why would he have his second hand augmented? Did something else happen inbetween the games that made him do it?
Perhaps he lost it when he was escaping Panchaea
Perhaps he lost it when he was escaping Panchaea
That's what I was thinking. It's very interesting to see the interaction beetween these two because of Panchea, and I wonder who else survived it all. I also really, really hope there will be interaction with Eliza again, because, again, of the events happened in Human Revolution.
screw all that wheres megan [sp]i loved that conniving bitch[/sp]
screw all that wheres megan [sp]i loved that conniving bitch[/sp]
[sp]Isn't she working for Page now?[/sp]
just the way i like it
i hope bob page gets more screen time in the new game
i hope bob page gets more screen time in the new game
he most definetly will
he most definetly will
[sp]you see a lot of him in one of the trailers, i think. not obscured at all, face plainly visible.[/sp]
Really annoying that they have put some stuff 1:1 into Mankind Divided from Human Revolution. Most notably the takedowns. They are still in third person and still pause the time and gameplay around you.
youre the only person that gets annoyed by third person takedowns
youre the only person that gets annoyed by third person takedowns
Excuse me, for expressing my opinion. I'm also sure that I'm not only person in this world that thinks this way about the takedowns. It's not just the third person itself, it's that it simply pauses everything around you until the animation stops. I don't know, it just feels weird. It's just not modern.
I would still prefer just having a first person melee weapon rather than that takedown stuff. Just let me bring out those cyberspurs and slice and dice everywhere
