Oh, apparently if I add archive invalidation, the crashes start again, so now I'm more or less back to square one.

Are there any mods for Fallout 3 that don't dramatically change the game to make it completely different but just vamp it up a bit to give it a slightly better feel. Texture mods, I know of an Iron Sight mod that I will use, things like that?
Oh, apparently if I add archive invalidation, the crashes start again, so now I'm more or less back to square one.
You shouldn't need archive invalidation for FO4. At least, that shouldn't be a thing anymore.
Fallout 4 has really come around to me in the modding scene. It's still not as fleshed out as I want but Fo4 has allowed me to build the most convincing 'realistic' combat setup any Beth game has allowed me to set up, complete with being able to knock people out and [del]fulton[/del]abduct them back to my settlements for reuse as companions later on. I like to send them to Vault 88 and pretend that the ghoul lady is doing some brainwashing shit Big Boss-style. Very important feature when everything is killing your current companions in two or three hits .
I've been able to get fun gameplay out of it, but it still has the issue of having no interesting quests to give me something to actually do
Exactly, Fallout 4's combat was satisfying and some of it's mechanics, like the settlement system are fun, but lacking, but that's really all it has, I want them to build on it with an actual content filled game. And also fucking fix melee. [editline]edit[/editline] Seriously, if Fallout 5 isn't goddamn chock full of content now that they have the base gameplay down, I'll be surprised.
I dunno what's doing it, but when I start playing textures are normal, but as I play for longer the textures get blurred until it's like the texture's are on low. It's kinda pissing me off.
hi it's me with your tri-annual update remade the mjolnir mesh cus the last one was really lazy and bad looking [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/286904679290503168/370345646429044736/screenshot000.png[/t]

Really offputting.

I think FO4 is a big step in the right direction, but with a game like this you need two steps. The best thing they could do for sales right now is to let a company with strong writers produce a standalone title, like NV, with a heavier focus on the story now that the gameplay is actually really fun. But it doesn't seem like they're willing to do that. I feel like I'm super alone in this, but I've also always been super bothered by onesided telepathic conversations. I skip through dialogue every single time if it's just a guy saying things, and FO4 was the first Bethesda game where I actually let the dialogue play out.

I always skip through dialogue in 3 and 4 because good god do I not care what irrelevant stuff these forgettable characters have to say, whereas in NV there's more times when I went ok this is worth listening to.

When a dude with a cool voice pops up, like Matthew Perry in NV I did let his lines play out. FO4 I liked how the conversations were like a little cool event, and it helped my pacing of the game to just let those play out because I had an input in it, even if it was ultimately pretty meaningless and the actual content of those conversations was ehhhhhh Even when I listened in the old games, Oblivion and Skyrim, that's all I was doing. It wasn't an interaction. Take the Black Widow perk for example, an actual conversation featuring a human being™ and Benny with those lines would've made for a super cool scene. But telepathy...
Fallout New Vegas turns 7 today
Seriously, if Fallout 5 isn't goddamn chock full of content now that they have the base gameplay down, I'll be surprised.
I have a sinking feeling it will be just as similar to fallout 4, as fallout 4 was to 3. Obviously I really want to be proven wrong here, but would it really be such a huge surprise if Bethesda just picked a new well known American city, filled it with super mutants, had the brotherhood show up, and then had a vault dweller emerge to resolve some personal main plot line with the exact same dependence on radiant questing as 4 to bulk up the side content?.

On top of that I use Knockout Framework and Non-Lethal Ordnance, which adds a little more variety in how you can non-lethally take people down. It's worth noting that I don't think Abduction and Knockout are strictly compatible, sometimes their functions override eachother in play as they both add a DBNO state to enemies, but nothing that's gotten in the way of my Big Boss playthrough so far.

Well the mod creator seemingly uploads the mod to loverslab as well, sooo... It might not be entirely Big Boss approved.

Hold the fuck up, that mod lets you capture enemy characters and press them into some kind of slave army? Well, I know what i'm doing next time I pick up that fallout 4 play through I keep abandoning.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Lovers Lab. Where all your dreams come true

I really really appreciate Loverslab. Like the sex content or not, stuff like this makes the site a very important part of the modding community. Take also the literal rape mod for Skyrim, it's got this feature where you can go non-lethal, capture bandits, vampires, and sell them to guards or the vampire hunter factions for cash money. You can also use it to kill essential characters and a bunch of other shit I forget that is really nice. Worst part is that the mod author is (apparently) wanting to expand it in this gameplay-focused direction but is running into spaghetti code issues as a result. If this stuff was less taboo and there wasn't so much dog sex and eating people's butts...
So, um, why are there wooden ramps in some of the buildings that aren't accessible as items for settlements?
