half of me wants whatever the infamy 3.0 equivalent of 25-100 to still be 25-100 so I don't have to do anything more and just reap the rewards of whatever's new half of me wants some sort of grind back that isn't occasional achievements or trivial safehouse trophies
The XP boosts are fine, the tree bonuses are not though. Infamy V being requirement to make optimal builds is stupid as hell. OVK now has a lot of things they could give through infamy that won't directly affect gameplay. On top of what 2.0 brought, they could also provide extra skillsets, skill profiles, player locked skins, safehouse shit and if it ever becomes a thing, suit/armor customization (as in you can pick a certain outfit regardless of heist, like using Green Bridge's raincoat on Big Bank or w/e.)
One of the problems is that it'd be difficult to trash the current system because it's so established. They'd have to do something about the achievements and masks to include them in the new system, else they're lost.

I think, at a guess, that one of the weapons we're getting is a community/free grenade launcher. It would fit the goblin weaponry stereotype, and it's something OVK said they wanted to add to the game.

These are some awesome guns! Kinda dissapointed by the lack of trailer and new song, though.
Little Friend's ammo pool was justified by the M203. But why's the AK17 got it too?

Another new sniper rifle, eh? Seems to be the what the Lebensauger originally was to the light sniper rifle class, except now for the medium class. Biggest magazine, and a modest fire rate, another straight upgrade by the looks of it. I'm a bit disappointed though, a Russian weapons pack, and it seems like a missed opportunity to make the sniper rifle the KSVK instead..
Neat guns, but this pack isn't exactly bringing anything special. Doesn't help that they included yet another melee weapon and some bland achievements.

The AK and the Dragunov are cool, but I don't care about Russian weapons and such enough to pay for a pack of them. First DLC I'm gonna pass up in a long time.
What the fuck is the deal with the "high damage but less ammo" balance on every gun now? Just stop doing it, is not necessary, make a gun balanced on all ends, is not hard

To be fair, that's what the AK12 looks like now, color and all. What does bug me is that damage model vs. the mag. They used the AK 7.62/AKM's damage but they use the AK12's 5.45 magazine
"Make every gun a DMR" seems to be current weapon design ideology. Because you know, those are the only weapons that kill 960 hp standard units quickly enough to warrant usage. What a shame.
