Maybe they just wrote it down as a joke to see if people read the EULA?
fuck konami im gonna find a big tiddy mgs playing gf and nobody can stop me
Maybe they just wrote it down as a joke to see if people read the EULA?
Nah, I suspect it is a straight translation of the Japanese EULA, my personal suspicion is that it is to let people know that harassment or trying to set up compensated dating etc is off limits and not condoned by them as a use of their platform. (Twitter has a huge problem with being used for that sort of thing - apparently especially with underage girls) Ass covering, in other words.
Why the hell can't i find any sheep near the basecamp? I'm starving to death way too often here. Edit - Discovered the sheep at the pond near the base cap respawn when you return to the title screen, i will never be hungry again.
So does Salvage mode give you a fuck ton of Kuban energy like it did in the beta, or did they lower it?
So does Salvage mode give you a fuck ton of Kuban energy like it did in the beta, or did they lower it?
im sure its lower, you could get 10-25 from 6 missions.
the launch trailer spoils some things in regards to enemies in the game.
All right, only having co-op in a super-limited side mode instead of the larger campaign is bullshit after how they marketed it.
Anyone know how to build more beds in your base? I have an annoying notification that says I don't have enough beds for my people, but two is my limit right now.
All right, only having co-op in a super-limited side mode instead of the larger campaign is bullshit after how they marketed it.
?
All right, only having co-op in a super-limited side mode instead of the larger campaign is bullshit after how they marketed it.
But they always marketed it as in Salvage mode? Literally none of the footage is from anything other than Salvage.
Its february 21 here alredy and the game says it will basically unlock on the 22th, damm you timezones
Its february 21 here alredy and the game says it will basically unlock on the 22th, damm you timezones
Yeah, it unlocks at 1600 PST on the 21st, which is the 22nd for UTC and any UTC+x timezone.
But they always marketed it as in Salvage mode? Literally none of the footage is from anything other than Salvage.
Okay, so you can watch this trailer and not get the impression that it's story co-op?
Also the... launch trailer just shows that it has co-op. Like, how is that not disingenuous
Okay, so you can watch this trailer and not get the impression that it's story co-op?
Yeah, a trailer from 2016 (with the wrong release date no less!) is not going to be indicative of the final product in any way, shape or form. It disappeared after that and resurfaced in E3 2017, and from that point they were pretty clear on co-op being a distinct mode. So either they changed it or the cinematic trailer from 2016 is just that, a cinematic trailer showing things cinematically. You've had almost a year of knowing what the co-op is going to be, and again, all of their marketing material outright states it. The only thing misleading here is people not actually reading words. Hell, you can't even claim they weren't up front because every co-op trailer has been of the Salvage game mode and nothing else.
Some of the stuff in single player really makes it seem like they had co-op in mind for it. Like, when I'm defending the wormhole generator and stuff, it feels like someone should be helping me.
So, is there any reason you shouldn't wormhole every zombie you kill back to base over carving them up for Kuban? I haven't played the singleplayer yet so I wouldn't know.
So, is there any reason you shouldn't wormhole every zombie you kill back to base over carving them up for Kuban?
So, is there any reason you shouldn't wormhole every zombie you kill back to base over carving them up for Kuban? I haven't played the singleplayer yet so I wouldn't know.
Only works on ones you've stealth-killed (aka a clean kill, basically)
Man, those wanderers don't fuck around. Early on in the game, I was doing a mission where you recover a memory board, and after I got it, I saw a lone wanderer laying on the ground. I assumed I could just backstab him, but when I got behind him, there was no prompt, and he grabbed my leg and fucked it up. I was helplessly limping away while all of his friends closed in on me and I didn't have any time to heal. It was kind of annoying, but at the same time pretty awesome with how quickly things escalated.

If your marketing is misleading to someone with medium interest, it is misleading.
please point out the parts that are misleading in the trailers, im honestly curious what confused you in them aside from "theres coop but it doesnt talk much about it"
The parts where they often show four people working together and then "don't talk much about it?"
[sp]https://i.redd.it/hhn80uu4rah01.gif[/sp]
Welp, this quite sold me more now. The demo was enjoyable for what it has and i still play mgsV moded now so i guess i'll buy it. Has anyone made a FP group for survive?
The parts where they often show four people working together and then "don't talk much about it?"
So.. Salvage mode? Because you get a grace period to scavenge the map before the waves start. It's not misleading if they are up front about it but you misinformed yourself through expectation. Anyway you spin this I can only see the failure as being your own for reading more into what they showed and stated than they themselves, you know, said.
All I'm saying is that when your announcement trailer climaxes with "get your friends to help you survive!", the first major gameplay shown (from the TGS 2016 demo) is of co-op, and the damn key art for the game shows four people standing alone against the new world, but your game's co-op is relegated to a side mode, that's a little misleading. I didn't get the game under false pretenses; over the last few weeks it's become increasingly clear what the game actually is, I'm just saying it's a disappointing realization considering what the early looks suggested the game might be.
To avoid a circular argument that ignores the past year of marketing and videos - GreenManGaming folks, check your orders page - I just got my MG:S key.
Okay, so MG S, should I buy it or not? Obviously this game is hard to consider a Metal Gear game, but that launch trailer looked a bit cool I guess.
