I wish they got a little more creative with the distress calls. How cool would it be if you found a genome soldier from Shadow Moses that got absorbed through a wormhole? Or a FROG from MGS4. Just have a bunch of random shit from other MGS games show up.
when ammo resupply gets activated
the corporations want u to think that they're doing u a favor by giving u ammo for free but they're actually making a profit by charging u exuberant amounts to repair ur gun after.
How do I go about using the special abilities that comes with the side skill trees? It says press T to activate but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Some also require you to ready your weapon, what ability are you having trouble with? I know jager's two abilities require bow or firearm depending on which you use.
that's why you use the am mrs-4 it's cheap to repair and does good damage
I don't know, those crafting costs seems to allude to the fact that I'll need titanium and/or tungsten alloy to repair, which is pretty darn expensive. Just got the pg-67 though, was cheap to craft, not requiring many rare mats. Gonna have to test it.

Can't see any indication of me having it on me.
Am I the only one confused that all the rare weapon drops are "broken" "junk"?
Do flags show up even in the dust? I keep dying, losing upwards of an hour of progress because I get lost in the dust when exploring too deep, so I was thinking of bringing flags to throw down near exits and shit since there isn't a compass that I know of.
yes, flags show up on the map when you're in the dust. also the compass pops up when you're near an enemy while unnoticed, as well as on the road i think?
yes, flags show up on the map when you're in the dust. also the compass pops up when you're near an enemy while unnoticed, as well as on the road i think?
They don't show up in game though like when you put down a marker outside of the dust, right? Just on the map itself when you have it open? And holy shit I didn't even realize that was a compass, I thought it was just a stealth meter, I may not even need flags now :v:
also the map gets charted if you follow roads, and i believe markers stay visible on screen when you're on the road as well.

MG: Survive is actually pretty okay. Especially now I'm past the first part of the story and can finally get good gear. [t]https://i.imgur.com/Zjtc5EF.png[/t]
Yeah, I'm really enjoying the game too. It keeps surprising me with more depth and features as I go on. Still, hate that water and food needs maintained so often. I have enough resources to meet both the needs but it's just a pain to be in the middle of a battle to be dragged out of the fun to eat something.
Here's some neat combat tips: While sprinting, pressing the attack button will do a sprinting punch. It does negligible damage, but staggers any enemy hit by it (also knocks down animals for cheeky wormhole extraction!) Nearly any wanderer (variants/creature types too) can be instantly killed by backstabbing it. Also, you don't even need to catch them unaware! You can backstab them as long as you can get behind them. Very useful on Bombers, as they won't explode. This won't work as well on [sp]mortar and trackers, since they will break out of it if alerted[/sp], so sprinting punch them first, then stab em! You can even sneak up on [sp]submerged grabbers[/sp] and yank then out! If wanderers are stack up on a fence, a single arrow can catch multiple of them! Also spear->fence combo is busted when using its strong attack. Using either the counter throw or grab move to chuck a wanderer against a wall/object (or spiked wall if you wanna skewer them), will knock them over and then they can be stomped afterwards. Speaking of, stomping (or shooting) the nape of the neck like where you sneak stab them, as previously mentioned by another user, will merely incapacitate them, allowing you to wormhole them for extra kuban! Despite how punishing taking hits can be, investing into melee is a great idea to conserve ammo. Spears are great for safety or abusing fences, one-handed is excellent when using its strong attack to decimate grouped up wanderers, two-handed has an incredible running attack for group clear, and so does heavy weapons! Also, invest in drop-attack; its situational, but when that situation comes, you flatten everything under you! I'll try to come up with more, but so far I'm having a ton of fun! Just about to [sp]fight the Lord of Dust[/sp], so I'm almost there!
Do flags show up even in the dust? Also as people mentioned you get a compass if you crouch for a second, and if you follow a road marked with a grey line on the map, it has the same effect as being outside the dust or in a previously-explored tile. Also you can see lights in the distance while in the dust. Green is teleporters, blue is containers.
Ending - [sp] The fight with the lord of dust would had been better if there was more enemy varietie for that section and if those guys ag base camp fought along side you. You even if it was just the random people you recruited. I just wanted some extra firepower. Instead im doing everything by myself again. Felt lkke a wasted opportunity. [/sp]
Here's another neat tip: while you can only use a spear/shoot through a chain link fence, you CAN swing other weapons through a wooden barbed wire fence!
What do you mean it doesn't seem to work? Ammo resupply spawns an ammo resupply counter that you interact with, giving you some temporary ammo that lasts until the duration of the mission.
half the time i can request the resupply from the digger but when i go to use the thing it stays at 2/2 after holding space. Kinda wish ammo because a bit more in abundance post game unless I'm missing something. Got a few decent guns that have good perks but anything besides a shotgun seems not worth using at all.
I'm so fucking dumb I disassembled my legendary SVD rifle recipe before i could build it. I'm going to crawl into a hole and die.
I'm so fucking dumb I disassembled my legendary SVD rifle recipe before i could build it. I'm going to crawl into a hole and die.
Why the fuck can you disassemble a recipe in the first place?
It's not a real recipe, it's the broken items
Anyone know how to increase the base to level 3? I need more houses and farms for all these people.
Anyone know how to increase the base to level 3? I need more houses and farms for all these people.
all the good base shit seems to be from base digging, its probably a reward, sadly the timegate exists. Really my only legit gripe of the game.
Fuck. Looks like I have to play the "Play the game by setting it up so you don't play the game" game.
finished the singleplayer and saw in the credits that matt mercer voiced reeves. it's so insanely recognizable lol

I kind of hate doing the base digging. It sucks when those wanderers fuck my base up and I have to inspect every inch to make sure I repaired everything. I wish there was a "make my base the way it was before digging" button. [editline]26th February 2018[/editline] Also, apparently if you get disconnected from your group during a co-op salvage mission after picking up an ammo resupply, you keep all the ammo.
So, im on the second part of the game in [sp]Africa?[/sp] , Do i get my base building functionality back or is it locked up until i beat the game?
