Bohemia – located in the heart of Europe, the region is rich in culture, silver, and sprawling castles. The death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, has plunged the kingdom into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart. One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. Unlike his father, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in Wenceslas. Feigning good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. With no king on the throne, Sigismund is now free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches. In the midst of this chaos, you're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid, ordered by King Sigismund himself, burns your village to the ground. By bittersweet fortune, you are one of the few survivors of this massacre. Without a home, family, or future you end up in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion. Fate drags you into this bloody conflict and shoves you into a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia. Redeem your past and emerge a hero! They fully understand the want for mods and are all for it.
Pretty excited for this. Has there been any word on if it will have modding support?

I’m so happy I ordered a physical copy when I could. I currently don’t have good internet for downloads.

Haven't been following this game much, despite backing it on Kickstarter, not much point in doing so now either, what with the release being so close.
Played a bit of the alpha a few months ago and while it was pretty empty, it was already the greatest horseback riding simulator I've ever played. It's really weird, because everything being shown and what I've experienced about the game, is basically what I was expecting Oblivion to be. Genuinely excited for this one!
I really hope this doesn't blow. I remember backing this back in 2012. Forgot all about it until recently.
Looks amazing. Really looking for to it.
I hope it will be good, we need more medieval themed games.
Oh man I need to preorder this super bad.
Oh man I need to preorder this super bad.
I think the original backers got an in-game sword actually smithed for them, makes me upset that I didn't know about this game before then
Yeah this is just one of many awesome rewards I missed out on because I didn't know of them at the time.
this and mordhau are my favorite things coming out in 2018 so far
Warhorse Studios announced on the Facebook page for KCD that you can go hunting; I always figured that you can do it but I love the image they attached: :v:
Get excited. This is what i wanted M&B to be.
I don't know if it's accurate, but I remember somebody mentioning that you can infiltrate a monastery by becoming a monk, and you're expected to just do normal monk things for ages before you can actually do whatever it is you came in to achieve.
I heard the same thing about infiltrating a bandit camp
I heard the same thing about infiltrating a bandit camp
One of the videos put out by the devs showing the different ways you can accomplish a mission did this. One of the ways they made the final battle easier for themselves was by killing a couple guys out in the woods, putting their clothes on and sneaking into the camp, then poisoning all the food that was cooking.
Warhorse has uploaded a new gameplay video, I'll also add it to the OP
very promising, let's hope the bugs are merciful
Shit I don't even care if the bugs aren't merciful. I've played enough Mount and Blade to know the drill.
I've never heard of this before. It's a bit hard for me to grasp what this game is trying to be. Looks fun. Is it trying to be like the Witcher but in first person and authentic to the actual time period?

I think I'm most excited about the armor & combat system because up until now it's never been truely authentic. Most games, armor just adds a fixed HP modifier to you and thats it plus it doesn't actually feel like your hitting plate or chainmail
Ooooh This is one of the few games that has perked my interest in recent years. I've always wanted an RPG like this.

So I wouldn't get any hopes up for realistic armor.
