I assume, because of the icon of Gordon with the chef's hat, maybe there will be an achievement for blowing up Magnusson's microwave casserole?
A massive cross achievement between Black Mesa: Source, CS:S, and Episode 2 First you must destroy the casserole, then shoot that microwave in CS_Office, then get Magnusson's quote from EP2
If you look closely at the textures, you will see that they are higher resoluted. So, yeah, the Atomic Punch has low graphical settings.
Best made-up word ever.
Best made-up word ever.
http://www.websters-dictionary-online.net/definitions/Resoluted But this online dictionary says it is a word!
http://www.websters-dictionary-online.net/definitions/Resoluted But this online dictionary says it is a word!
If you're talking about the word in it's proper meaning, he still used it wrong. :v:
Which somehow starts up an ARG for Episode 3.
knowing valve that wouldnt be too far off..
Sexy
The phong's too damn high and the boots are apparently made out of carved cement bricks.
I don't like the sentry. Old one was way better, that one is just a clone from HL2.
what are they doing
Michael Tannock: You think I know more than I do, but the developers are controlled by the lead developers. And the lead developers are controlled by cman2k. The information is filtered through the hierarchy. But you want to believe I'm lying, because you continue asking for the truth. I said I don't know everything. The situation is this: The game is ready to be released. I thought it'd already be released. I don't know why it hasn't been released. And before it's released we'll keep making improvements to it.
Michael Tannock from BMS team.
Michael Tannock from BMS team.
So wait, even one of the lead developers doesn't know what's going on? Even if this mod gets released and it's great (which it may not be), the way the BM:S team has been run is utterly unforgivably stupid. I mean, it's one thing not to give the fans anything, but just telling the team to produce a product without saying why and what everyone else is doing is just stupid.
If you're going to get this far into development, shouldn't you know what you're doing? I know that they have obligations to finish it since this since it's a hobby, but shouldn't you have a plan? This whole thing was managed so poorly. I bet they'll release it and when people complain about inconsistency in quality the people behind the mod would go "See! You should have stopped complaining!" instead of going "Yeah, we made some poor choices and we just had to release it and get it out of the way. Hope you enjoy it despite it having a few flaws."
what are they doing
I thought that when they make some changes, they do them to improve something, not vice versa :O. I don't like this very much, nor I like the HEV suit. Everything I see and read from the developers is making me worry about it. I just hope they know what they are doing, I'm afraid that mod may feel a little bit inconsistent and half-assed in the end... Also, the leading department matters are rly strange to me, I don't understand how this works... Doesn't sound very good to me too. If I were a developer, I would definitely want to know, what are the plans with the project...
Dev's : "mod is 100% complete". Lead dev : "no it's 99,999999999... Complete... Work harder!! " This is silly.
Nothing is 100% complete ever. A miracle has to happen for something to be flawless.
Nothing is 100% complete ever. A miracle has to happen for something to be flawless.
There's a certain point where wanting the best for your fans becomes obsessive perfectionism. Fuck, I doubt they're even doing it for the fans now with the way they basically said "you guys will complain no matter what we do so we're going to go with the way that gets the most complaints!" I bet they're just doing it because they've been trying for a while and they have nothing better to do.
I think some of them are the "It's perfect and you can't complain about it!" crowd that have been hassled to the point of "You're going to complain about it no matter what so fuck you!" crowd. Don't let the people complaining about it bring you down. You'll look like a douchebag if you spend all of your time talking shit to people. At a certain point, you'll have to accept that it's not perfect.
Best made-up word ever.
English isn't my native language, so Im sorry. I hope you still get what I meant.
So unfortunately it appears that the new sentry gun is just a direct copy-paste of HL2's sentry gun, with a new model and probably sound. [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] Hopefully someone will be willing to mod the old turret back in, or something.

Hell I wouldn't even mind if someone ported over the model from HLS, I like the HL1 turret more than this HL2-esque version.
HEV suit looks like a high resolution hl1 model
HEV suit looks like a high resolution hl1 model
Quality of it notwithstanding, that model doesn't particularly resemble the original HEV suit model, nor does it resemble Valve's official artwork depicting the suit. The BMS model uses colors that are either far too dark or just flat out wrong, altered some details (the metallic stomach and elbow joints changed to corrugated pipe, missing clasps on shins), and the pelvis part of the suit was changed into a speedo-like thing, apparently to accentuate Gordon's man parts for some reason.
I think they just made it look more mobile.
yeah their design makes more sense
Looks like a blend of the HL1 suit and HL2 suit:
I would just say that BMS' HEV suit design makes more sense than the original. Looks quite realistic. -ninja'd-
and the HD pack one [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] breakin ma merge
I prefer the BMS design over the original valve one. I mean how the heck is he suppose to bend his torso/waist in the Valve one? Actually it looks like a cross between the HL2 model and the PS2 model now that I look at it. [t]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100301084244/half-life/en/images/e/ed/HEV_PS2.jpg[/t]
http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showpost.php?p=449703&postcount=17879 Raminator's Answer : -Sentry : the HL2 model is the best, other models were FUBAR. -M.Tannock : he's a liar (O_o).
Correct me if I am wrong but don't you see the HEV suit only one time at the start of the game?
I don't like the sentry.
Seems like they just keep making stupid choices. It's not just a HL remake anymore like it was supposed to be - it's as if they feel the need to correct the 'mistakes' of Half-life.
