I'm hoping for a summer release too. (The beginning of Summer, not three days before we have to go back to school)
I hope it comes out within the next 2 months. And then we hit E3 and VALVe is like LOL HL3 is pretty much done too.
Alternately, Valve reveals at E3 that they've purchased Black Mesa Source and are actually releasing it in a bundle with HL3.
The mod actually really was released in 2009 but they have been waiting for someone to find the download link.
maybe it'll never come out because we're stuck in a stable time loop and every time it's released we go back to the beginning the only way to break the loop is to blow up VALVe before they make the first Half-Life
I hope it comes out within the next 2 months. And then we hit E3 and VALVe is like LOL HL3 is pretty much done too.
You know... a theory i've had about Ep3 / HL3... If we were going to go back to the site of Black Mesa for whatever reason, wouldn't it make sense for Valve to wait until this mod is finished and released, ask for permission, and then modify the levels for what they wanted? They're basically having Half-Life 1's levels being completely remade for them (damn good too) so it cuts the amount of work they'd have to do in half. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] (And don't say that only one nuclear warhead was able to completely obliterate Black Mesa; do you know just how fucking big Black Mesa was? Not to mention how far down the facility is underground and the fact that the warhead was detonated in a warehouse on the surface) [sp]Minor Spoiler. I don't care if you haven't played Opposing Force yet, It came out like 11 years ago.[/sp]
No, hell no it didnt, otherwise Eli Vance wouldnt be in the second game.
eli more than likely made a deal with the gman to ensure his own safety. also you can see the flash of the explosion from the helicopter when talking to the gman in OpFor.
No, hell no it didnt, otherwise Eli Vance wouldnt be in the second game.
He got out before the nuke went off.

Also, in the housing of the nuke, you can read in the instructions that the safe zone is more far of 55 Km. Enough for wipe out all the surface as well as the underground complex. Take a vague statement by one of the devs. Put a wild guess, for the date. Bam. Headline is finished to gain clicks. Readers believe it, because everything is true that stands on the internet. Readers get disappointed. Readers complain about development team behind the project.

http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/Mark_IV_Thermonuclear_Device
Huh, guess it's been a while since i've played Opposing Force. Still, 55 km was the recommended safe distance from the bomb. Though it was detonated partially underground and under Black Mesa's largest ordinance storage facility. Yeah, that definitely would have taken a good sized chunk out of Black Mesa and the area surrounding it.
Good reason Calhoun left when he did. (HL: BS)
nice thong
Gordon just looks silly now I mean the original suit may not have completely made sense but at least it didn't have an Mk V Man-parts Accentuator bolted to his crotch

The only thing DSO Gaming seem to have faulted on is missing this memo -- that the mod will no longer be releasing soon after the soundtrack.
