I'm cautiously optimistic that this update might fix some things, and might actually add something.
What ever it is, it required UI work.
Apparently Inferno Squad are name dropped in the TLJ novel.
Battlefront 2 (EA) concept art

I don't think that's the Jedi Temple library, the architecture matches Theed.

I think it might be for different areas. That one definitely looks like the Jedi temple library, while most of the read looks like Theed. And that one bit looks like it's a corvette crashed into the hangar bay of a Star Destroyer? Of course, it's also possible that the Jedi library isn't the only place that has... uh, library technology?

Everything in that Library image matches the Theed Palace.
The floors the pillars statues, the giant window and even the clothes of the people.

And the droids in the floor :v:
I'm guessing the artist painted over a screenshot of the game or or a screencap of the movie to draw it. that would explain the droid lol
Progression and MTX news!
Revamped Progression is Coming Soon
That sort of system should have been in place from day one, god damn you EA.
Well better late than never, right? It all sounds promising, but so did battlefront 2 right before all the shit went down. So really hoping DICE and EA have learned their lesson and aren't just finding another method of fucking over their customers.
Oh don’t spend any crafting parts as they’ll convert into skill points in April
So with the revamped progression update incoming, is there any worth to picking up the game in advance or is it better to wait until after the update drops?
Only ever played the beta so I've no idea how the current version is.
I'd wait till the new update and see what others say, though personally I enjoyed the game anyway but I didn't really pay attention to the cards(not saying they aren't terrible) but I just enjoyed the feel of the game and the atmosphere
The progression update is nice; however as someone who has everything they already want and just wants more content, this is a bit disappointing. Really hope they drop some new maps soon.
Yeah I'm in a similar boat. But I don't mind too much because the progression really, really, really needed to be fixed. And I figured that would be first in the pipeline before anymore content was rolled out.
The good news is, once the progression and cosmetics changes go through, it should be smooth sailing and content patches for the forseeable future. You know, assuming EA doesn't do something monumentally stupid. Again.
I wouldn't count on it, they need some sort of income from the game lol, comestics are ok for lootboxes but still rather have none at all, dice making all this content they're supposedly making for free, doubt it'll last long being free
Cosmetics will be purchased using crystals, not RNG.
I'm curious when the trooper customization comes around if the rebel, resistance, imperial and first order classes are still going to be gender-locked or if they will change that.
Of course if that was never the original plan then they'd have to record new lines for the opposite genders and not sure if DICE is willing to put in that much work...
I dont understand why they wont wipe everyone's progress if they're overhauling the progression system they way they are.
Hopefully it's just a skin.
Well there are no alternate gender lines in the files.
Though that doesn't mean they didn't record any.
You know how many people that would piss off? A lot of casual players don't even know a progression update is coming, imagine them getting on and finding all their progress just thrown in the gutter. The player count would drop drastically.
Went through the threads on the official forums trying to see if this progression update would effect weapon unlocks in any way.
According to one of the Devs? Nope. Still 400 (better than the 500 that it used to be but still) per class to have all 4 of their guns, and then the 150 or so with that specific weapon to get all its upgrades, which feels like a slog especially if the gun is underwhelming before getting it unlocks (looking at you SE-44c).
I was hoping they'd tone down the grind on those a little more, especially since assists don't count towards your progress. But I guess I just have to "git gud"
I would say we pretty much definitely are getting another Millennium Falcon, especially if it looks particularly different in the movie (it has the front bit filled in IIRC). Pretty unavoidable, it's just a shame that it's not really worth using the Falcon since it's such a big target. Maybe they'll give this one really good abilities to make it a bit more fun.
They could easily make it a cosmetic for Han's, maybe have some unique starcards based off things seen in the movie.
