[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/ajlqyl.webm[/vid] Why do I keep getting encounters like this?
i feel like they need to do some major improvments to the gunplay because it's playing exactly like battlefront right now where people can sidestep all your shots -remove ads sway when strafing -increase the speed of all bullets -reduce side strafing speed

Like, not in a sense of Matrix dodging bullets, but two people strafing will make one of them hard to hit if you're not leading your shot a lot. Turning everything into lasers won't help anything and will just further unbalance the game.

Discord link is rip. I'm guessing it's dead anyway?
Discord link is rip. I'm guessing it's dead anyway?
Very much alive, I guess my "Set to never expire" thing didn't work? This link should hopefully stick, updating OP aswell: https://discord.gg/CbmhD9K
All these close encounter videos have something in common: both parties suffering from acute aim fail. :vs:
The m1903 experimental is so weird. Since it does so little damage, enemies seem to not even react to being shot by it, i have no clue why. Sprayed down 3 people in a row and noone bothered to react, once. And this happens reliably :v

Can you cook grenades in BF1?
Ayy, thanks afro for makin the new thread, I completely forgot we were almost out of new posts. [editline]29th October 2016[/editline]
Can you cook grenades in BF1?
AFAIK you can't.
Thinking about it, I don't recall being able to cook grenades in any Battlefield game. A long time ago you used to be able to charge how far you throw the grenade, but that's about it.
Closest thing would be impact grenades like in BF4. WW1 grenades actually did have a percussion variety so I wonder if Dice will add them. Apparently you were liable to blow yourself up accidentally so they usually opted for the timed variety.
Bf1 has impact grenades.

Yeah no.
The gewehr M95 is so good [t]http://i.imgur.com/preuicx.png[/t] I really really want to get that legendary variant.
Well, I got all of the achievements on PS4, moving onto service stars now, currently at 10. Also working on Codex, 143/198. Also jesus the Automatico M1918 is just a slightly worse Villar Perosa, it's ridiculous [editline]30th October 2016[/editline] I love how almost every gun in this game is viable. You only really have one bad meme gun. Also the animation for when you use K-Bullets with the M1903 Experimental is so fucking cool.
what even is the point of the infantry guns for scout
You really should try the m95 infantry or carbine, it has no sweetspot but it effectively fires 120 rounds per minute without the reload time so 1 second to kill at any range (assuming you hit both your shots) also a great combo with the frommer stop which deploys in 0.4 seconds compared to 0.5+ for the rest of the pistols so you can shoot once and quickly finish the target of with a single shot from the pistol
Speaking of grenades, it's kinda weird you can't equip them or am I doing something wrong? Like, I don't want to instantly throw them, I want to hold on to it.
Is the emblem editor not working for anyone else? It keeps breaking, I can't change colors or save my emblems. Same goes for generating share links. Menu looks like this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/rWbWI5q.png?1[/t]
I did some cursory research, and surprise surprise, the armor that the Italian dude wore for the most part ACTUALLY EXISTED and was reported to have been worn by Arditi units. [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/04/WWI_Italian_body_armor,_Farina_tre_sassi_museum.JPG[/t] However, the arms were definitely taken from Bashford Dean's experimental design, so it didn't wholly exist as it is in game [t]http://i48.tinypic.com/dw3oxu.png[/t] And of course, it wasn't NEARLY ass effective in real life as in game, but it is a video game. Quoting Italian Wikipedia page "Corazza Farina"
Armor Farina were a characteristic feature of so-called "companies of death", ie groups of soldiers assigned to carry extremely dangerous and almost always fatal, for example, out of the trenches to go to cut the barbed wire placed by the enemy. their weight was more than nine pounds and were formed by two plates of trapezoid shape, a front and a rear, each composed of five layers of sheet steel, slightly curved towards the sides, and two movable shoulder pad. The armor was held down by two shoulder straps, the soldier crossed behind his back and knotted at the front. Two bracelets fixed on the inside, also allowed to use the armor also mo 'shield. The manufacturer of the certified as resistant to blows bullet caliber 6,5 mm of Carcano Mod. 91 , fired at least 125 meters away. The armor was also equipped with a dome-shaped helmet in steel with chinstrap, of from 1.6 to 2.8 pounds variable weight depending on the size, that was worn over the cloth cap or with a special padded headset. The company Farina also also produced other types of armor, as "the breastplate Courses", but was never officially adopted by the Royal Army . Although they were presented as the Summit of self defense methods, in practice armor Farina proved unsuccessful: in addition to the weight and the consequent difficulty of movement, in fact, only protected the chest and head, leaving entirely uncovered the rest of the body. In addition, it was enough that a bullet was slightly bigger size than that certificate, or that the distance was less than 125 meters, because the shot easily penetrate the armor.
As you can see there is a hole in the helmet shown above, but they made concessions for gameplay reasons tbh. The English page on the Arditi seems to point to the helmets being a real trademark the precursor to the Arditi units. oh and it turns out the Belgians managed to get the Farina armor as well irl. Verdun has them using it, and I looked it up and it seems they were issued it at times!

In seriousness though, knowing that there was actually armour used during WW1 is pretty badass.
I swear like 80% of medics dont know that they can revive and 90% of squadleaders dont know they can give orders and 90% of people push their space bar as hard as they can when 5 medics are around. I usually spam the shit to make them aware of this but no, they never react.
