Franly, far too many of the game's achievements are highly situational and go against my playstyle (I'm a control freak), so I'll pass
I only need that level 25 rune achievement. It's a bitch, I've done the requirements for it twice already but had bad luck and got a epic rune instead.
Black Celebration down! [editline]26th October 2014[/editline] Burning Vengeance down! [editline]26th October 2014[/editline] The White Rider down!

Rise and Fall down! [editline]26th October 2014[/editline] Stinking Rebels down. Now for the lvl 25 rune and the recruitment struggle one
Just finished 100% completion, that's the first game in I don't know how long that I've actually went after that goal This game is amazing
where are any bats?
where are any bats?
Find the various caves in the first region, they'll be right at the entrance so use wraith vision to see if they're there first. Then start shooting them. They'll start flying out almost immediately, which can actually make them easier to hit since you'll often hit the roof of the cave shooting them while they hang there.
Finally got 100% completion. Just need these 7 achievements then I'm done. 45 hrs in.
regarding that achievement on the top of the list, does anyone know if there's a way to make warchiefs WANT to turn other captains in to bodyguards? i never met a warchief with more than three. it's really frustrating because it's literally my last achievement I have to do and I just can not for the life of me figure out how to do it
Command captains to be bodyguards. Commanding a captain to a warchief will put them in a trial, which if they succeed, they'll be hired as bodyguard to that warchief.

So yeah, a while back TB did a give-away involving Shadow of Mordor and bees. This was the winning entry.
I got to admit that after not playing this for some time now, I really miss suddenly hearing "MAN FILTH!" and getting ambushed by some orc captain I wish they would stalk me into other games why do I even miss this thing
It's probably that it makes the game feel more alive and organic, having enemies that actively seek you out and remember you. Also gives the game a sense of "intimacy" (no not that kind) wherein you form actual connections between your enemies and the orcs you brand, where you get killed by one and he gets stronger as a result, giving you motivation to hunt that taffer down and exact revenge. Just feels nice to be remembered by the ones who got away, makes you feel like you have more impact on the way the game pans out.

Well, you certainly had a chemistry with the War-Bringer, so three cheers for that guy! Hip hip, Hûra! Hip hip, Hûra! Hip hip, Hûra!
I do wish the difficulty ramped up a bit more, I can kill captains pretty easily later game. [editline]27th October 2014[/editline] I remember half way through the campaign I had times in strongholds where like 5 dudes and their entourages were looking for me and I'd see how long I could stay in while using guerrilla warfare tactics, but later it's kinda trivial to kill everyone. The last straw for me was that upgrade that let you use executes twice in one combo and I could just melt down anyone who wasn't combat immune.
Well, what to do now? [editline]28th October 2014[/editline]
I do wish the difficulty ramped up a bit more, I can kill captains pretty easily later game.
Yeah some abilities are pretty ridiculous. On my next playthrough I will try to ignore some updates. I bet the game gets more interesting if you do not upgrade your health, focus and elf shot. Don't using any rules will make it more challenging as well, some of them gave me a lot of health. Also Shadow Strike and the double action after a successful combo is overpowered as fuck. The only time the game gets really challenging is when you are in a fight with tons of uruks and several captains or if a captain is invulnerable to everything. Which is pretty challenging.

I do a mission to kill a captain, turns out he's a pretty hard and strong one. He's also really close to a stronghold. Find it hard to take him down with so many enemies nearby. Then two MORE captains including one I killed earlier shows up. Spent 40 minutes figuring out how to kill them all, eventually did it with a lot of patience and gurilla warfare tactics in their own stronghold. Then the guy who came back to life literally comes back to life again 10 minutes later, says a stupid fucking rhyme again and wiggles his arms in a goofy manner when he introduces himself again. Fuck that guy.
The entire weaknesses and resistances mechanic for the captains and warchiefs isn't important as most people would think, unless you get that one captain or warchief who managed to rank up several resistances and a combat master perk
Fucking this. I was only level 3 and didn't have a lot of perks on me, when I got a legendary captain of 15 level. Resistance to absolutely EVERYTHING, including beasts. Combat Master, hates when gets pain, also poisonous attacks. His only weakness? Fire. Fucking flames. It took me 7 attempts to find him in a spot where there was AT VERY LEAST ONE CAMPFIRE. It felt really satisfactory when I got him to burn, tho. It was as if I almost came that moment. My god, he was so fucking annoying.
