Just saw this, one of the better films I've seen in the past five years. Right up there with Star Trek, Iron Man and Dark Knight. I'm fairly happy how they dealt with Iron Man in this film as they had to be careful as he's the the most well known of them but he was played down enough that it felt right whilst still keeping the Stark humour in. Also they got the cliche level just right. moments: [sp]captain america: "Hulk ... smash"[/sp] [sp]Nick fury getting the cards out of coulson's locker and covering them in blood to emotionally play Stark and CA[/sp] [sp]Hulk interrupting loki's soliloquy by grabbing him and swinging him like a ragdoll was awesome.[/sp]
In my opinion not only one of the best superhero movies ever made but also one of the best movies ever made full stop. Absolutely exceeded my expectations (already high) on every level, I have got to see this again.
Well I think you just reserve the seats and you have to go there x minutes before the start to actually buy your tickets.
with a buy ticket online option?
The "He's Adopted" joke was easily one of the funniest moments of all of these characters history. Along with most of the things Hulk did in that last third. Such as [sp]Punching Thor and Smashing the shit out of Loki[/sp] I've never laughed so fucking hard as I did when that last one happened. The film was really funny. [editline]28th April 2012[/editline] Also, about the trading cards etc. [sp]I wouldn't be surprised if Coulson turns up casually in next Iron Man, Thor and Captain America movies. It would be an excellent moment of comedy[/sp]. And regarding the future of Hulk [sp]Is Banner gonna be a supporting character in Iron Man 3? It seemed implied he was going to work with Stark[/sp]
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WAVTFOGsi8[/hd] The Avengers also gets a consensus on RT
Saw this a few hours ago. My boner has a boner.
I was in stiches for a good 5 minutes when [sp]the hulk smashed loki to hell[/sp] fuck it was funny.
It was defiantly the best superhero film this year. Thor 2 will be set after The Avengers. And more Natalie Portman....is that a good thing? :p Iron Man 3, full on Tony Stark, without the help of the avengers, properly not the other dude who helped in IM2. The following week, Feige said Iron Man 3 would begin shooting in North Carolina "in five weeks" and that it "is a full-on Tony Stark-centric movie ... very much inspired by the first half of 'Iron Man ... [H]e’s stripped of everything, he’s backed up against a wall, and he’s gotta use his intelligence to get out of it. He can’t call Thor, he can’t call Cap, he can’t call Nick Fury, and he can’t look for the Helicarrier in the sky."[95] Later in April, The Walt Disney Company China, Marvel Studios and DMG Entertainment announced an agreement to co-produce Iron Man 3 in China. DMG will partly finance, produce in China with Marvel, and handle co-production matters. DMG will also distribute the film in China in tandem with Disney.[96] Guy Pearce has entered final talks to play Aldrich Killian, a character who is featured in the "Extremis" comic book story arc.[97] Jessica Chastain is in discussions for a role in the film.[98] So, they won't have that dude who captured him the first movie. What about Mandarin? Though we haven't heard of anything yet. Properly The Avengers 2.
Also Black Widow will not feature in Iron Man 3. But in some really good news, Marvel said as soon as Robert Downy Jr stops being Iron Man (Most likely after Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2) they will not make any more movies. They don't want it to turn out like Batman or Spiderman where they just reboot it with different actors.
Huh? From what I read, they may just James Bond the Iron Man franchise. Ex, keep replacing the actor
Wanted to see Natalie portman in the movie [tab]naked[/tab]

Oh lawdy my source is wrong... Well anyway, that's a godawful idea. It's like how they want to reboot the Batman franchise after Nolans movies are done. Robert Downy Jr is just too good to be replaced!
the avengers was a very satisfying movie, i enjoyed it thoroughly. the 3d in the theatre i saw it it was a bit broken though, like they hadn't turned it on properly or something.
So did anybody else stay till after the main credits .
I've seen the movie and it was amazing! The music, the dialogue, the humour, the action scenes. Everything was incredible. Pure nerdgasm through the whole movie. Seriously, this is one of the best Superhero movies ever made. It has exceeded my expectations. No wonder it gets such great reviews. A must-see.
So did anybody else stay till after the main credits .
Oh yes. Marvel taught me this.

Though I do think the new Peter Parker looks great and I like Bales Batman. I'd just want all the companies to be friends so we can have Spiderman in Avengers next time. Every few seconds I was thinking "I wish Spiderman was fighting with these guys". I can dream [editline]28th April 2012[/editline]
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/GraphicCity/news/?a=58710 They're gonna james bond it, carry it on replacing the guy so they can continue their universe
Shit no. I'd rather have Iron Man get grey and look old than loose him. I think a story about an ageing hero would be awesome. [editline]28th April 2012[/editline]
So did anybody else stay till after the main credits .
I saw on opening day. The whole fucking theatre stayed. Nobody moved. Then there was discussion all over the place as to what they just saw. I heard a few excited whispers of people who clearly knew what was going on. I heard one deluded and wrong person say "Red skull?"
I really can't imagine Iron Man as anyone other than RDJ now.
I really can't imagine Iron Man as anyone other than RDJ now.
Iron Man pretty much means sarcastic, self obsessed hero now.
So did anybody else stay till after the main credits .
The cool 3D graphics credits [sp]Where afterward it showed the new bad guy?[/sp] Or the normal white credits on black background?
Still shattered that [sp]Son of Coul died, i really hope he survived some how, he was such a good character and Clark Gregg really played him well, it would be such a disappointment to see him go and both he and Joss Whedon confirmed he would survive...[/sp]
yeah i mean I thought the actor was in talks for Iron Man 3... maybe we were lied to.
Just saw it, holy fuck. That was amazing. Also we stayed after the 3D credits [sp]Who was that bad guy?[/sp] and was there anything after the b&w credits?
Still shattered that [sp]Son of Coul died, i really hope he survived some how, he was such a good character and Clark Gregg really played him well, it would be such a disappointment to see him go and both he and Joss Whedon confirmed he would survive...[/sp]
Perhaps Fury lied about his death to give the avengers something to avenge, like he lied about the captain america cards.
Just saw it, holy fuck. That was amazing. this movie was awesome, 9/10 scarlett johanssons butt in this movie was even better, 15/10
[sp]Iron Man falling down, almost hitting those people on the street, and flying back up to Loki: "Now you've angered one more. His name was Phil."[/sp] It was brilliant.
[sp]The most awesome moment was probably when Hulk smashed Loki into the floor several times and Loki was all like "ughhhh.." Puny God.[/sp]
Just finished watching it in a local cinema, one of he best movies I've ever seen. Unfortunately I didn't get i watch the credits since a friend needed to go to toilet badly and didn't know where it was. Can I get a spoiler of what the credits show?
just saw it tonight, was fucking brilliant! unfortunately we didn't stay till the post-credits scene, does anyone have a link for it?
