Yeah, it sucks. Criticism?
Bump?
I don't like the high hats they sound cheap, and vocals should be pushed to the front unless its supposed to be ambient like that. overall I liked it
I have got a question for you: if you know that it sucks, try to do better until you got what you were expecting for. Your song is a little weird... Did you tune your guitar before playing?

And yeah, the vocals were meant to be more of an ambient kind of thing. Thanks for the help, though. Did you tune your guitar before playing?
Yeah, I tuned it, but I might have been off in the vocals. Singing the melody backward was a bit trickier than I thought. [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] They probably sound weird because my recording equipment blows. Working with a USB guitar cable and a voice recorder.
I guess the highhats werent that bad they just caught my ear the first time around, I like the deep vocals, nice to hear them for a change. Do you have any other songs or was this a one time thing, id love to hear more
I've got more, but they're on my facebook, I usually upload them as videos. This was my first time trying out SoundCloud. If I can find the MP3's (I recently wiped my computer because of a virus) I'll put them up.
Yeah, I tuned it.
No you didn't it sounds completely out of tune. That was one of the main reasons I couldn't keep on listening, so please tune the guitar. You have a decent idea going on, but you really have to work on the execution.
Or you have a very bad tuner...
I usually tune by ear, so I guess I'm losing it. It sounded fine to me =/ And Phobia, I just found a few old files, so I'm putting them up right now. I think I can salvage a few of these though, I may re-record them. [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] And if it makes a difference, it's not in standard tuning, it's in DADGAD
Not really, it still sounds horribly out of tune. Tune it with a tuner, or to a piano or something.
i'm getting some animal collective vibes from this weird i like it
Huh, I didn't think Animal Collective at all. Actually my friend who was there when I wrote it actually said Smashing Pumpkins (which I don't see either)
I think it's cute and part of me likes it for that, but that may lie in the bad tuning and low quality I'm getting from it. The vocals are a little weird, I cant understand anything and your vocal style is shaky. Still, I could imagine this being used on one of those sad documentaries about a someone, as an instrumental perhaps. So tune up, keep working towards better equipment, I think this has a lot of potential and the feel of the songs is really cool.
Thanks. And you can't understand any of it because the words are backwards. And my vocal style is shaky because I didn't practice singing the melody backwards very much before recording.
