Recently I've been getting into early Green Day and I have to say that shit is GOOD. I also like some stuff by NOFX, but don't really know of more generic 90's punk sound, because I am absolutely enamored with it and would love for some recommendations I also like 90's alternative like Weezer and a lot of Grunge stuff
Rancid is awesome.
Rancid Lagwagon No Use for a Name Pennywise Bad Religion Millencolin and my favorite band, NOFX
Fall Back Down is an amazing Rancid song, but I don't know of much else.
Green Day isn't punk imo
Green Day isn't punk imo
Old Green Day is like the fucking best punk in the world.
Ten Minute Warning! edit: ok not so much 90's but listen to them nonetheless!

Sounds like you're looking for pop-punk and skate punk. Wiki those sub-genres or something.
Blink-182 if that counts
You said you like some grunge. Alice In Chains is pretty awesome.
You will like Screeching Weasel:

ha thats funny. who are you to judge? what kind of music do you listen to?
So how's being 12 going for ya?
Grunge music is quite good actually.
I think of 80's-90's era Green Day as punk, but can't recommend any punk bands for fans of it. :raise:
I think of 80's-90's era Green Day as punk, but can't recommend any punk bands for fans of it. :raise:
What?
Grunge music is quite good actually.
Never said it wasn't.
No one has mentioned Rage Against the Machine yet?
No one has mentioned Rage Against the Machine yet?
They're rap rock
Go get yourself the album Suffer- Bad Religion. One of the most influential and greatest punk albums ever. Its 1988, but who gives a fuck. Also, Rancid and Green Day have always sucked, doesn't matter what era.
Wow, a whole topic without The Offspring??? Ok, so, The Offspring of the 2000's sucks ass, but of the 90's they were pretty good. Here: From Ignition: From their S/T From Smash: And here is some more "hardcore" punk, or post-hardcore, if you want . . . Quicksand Helmet Civ and Civ's first band - Gorilla Biscuits (they started in 88-89, but whatever) Oh, and you can automatically spot a poser as one who immediately jumps on the "Greenday ain't punk" bandwagon. Old Greenday was Punk as Old Metallica was Metal.
Some of the later stuff of Oingo Boingo is pretty punk. Try their Boingo Alive Album or Boingo.
