Dude dont worry about your paintjob aka dont paint it every time you thrash it, thats what its suppost to look like, it shows you put love into it
I want to get her pin-striped though. Not really a big deal I guess, it's going to be normal wear and tear. I got my first compliment on it after bombing a hill. An older guy who was walking his German Shepherd saw me bomb the hill and when I walked back up I went past him on the other side of the street, and he said "Nice board!" "I'd need some handlebars if I was gonna get one."
nobody seems to have answered my suggestion request
quote it for me since I'm lazy. I have a custom 2 ply so of course there's some sag on a 36 inch board. I want to try a stiffer board sometime soon to see if itll make a difference in my riding. I feel like my hobbling up and down on my board slows me down a bit.
2 ply?? What? Thats insane.
put stickers on scratches, thats what I always do
I have too much OCD to have stickers in random places. I got a set of 14.5" Rib Bones today, so I'll put them on tomorrow as well as my new bushings.
Height: 6' Age: 16 Weight: 210lbs Preferred Style: just riding Topography of where you plan to skate: I live in North Dakota, I've never seen a hill in my life. Budget: 200 dollars and under I was actually looking at this: http://store.originalskateboards.com/pintail40.aspx What do you guys think?

Just got my put my new bushings on and and got them set up. I will forever remember that bushings make all the difference. I think I could slalom now, I could barely turn before. Hell, I couldn't imagine getting wheel-bite before, it might even be a possibility now.

They are actually really fun to carve on not going to lie but do not fit my personal style at all, I know little to nothing about carving machines. You should look at dancers since who doesn't like flat land tricks and dancing when you have no hills.
Do you guys mix bushings? Like cone and barrel? I'm trying to find a good setup.
Do you guys mix bushings? Like cone and barrel? I'm trying to find a good setup.
I mix cones and barrels, but I haven't noticed any difference with standard bushings.
Do you guys mix bushings? Like cone and barrel? I'm trying to find a good setup.
I use a cone barrel combo up front and barrel barrel in the back for my freeride/dh setup. On my switchblade I rock cone barrel all around. I think my dh/freeride combo is perfect jack of trades for me at least, can ride switch with it pretty easy.
let's try this again: Age: 15 Height: 5ft. 2in. Weight: 105 lbs Style: Mainly commuting, want to learn downhill and sliding. Topography: Hometown is mainly flat but large hills and straights near me

I know the price is a bit steep but if you know anything about skateboards you can build a pretty rad setup and not just get the complete. If I was you I'd get the greaseshark (viscous griptape), 50 degree calibers, $10 bearings, and wheels I guess some abec 11 81a zigzags would be a great all around wheel, they have a nice slide. [editline]11th February 2012[/editline] it will be a tad expensive because the board is new but I think its perfect for your size and what you want to do. I'm 6'1 and have the grease shark which is a longer version and I think its just dandy for me.
do you have any suggestions for bi-directional boards?
do you have any suggestions for bi-directional boards?
arbor vugenhausen I'd really like to get one myself but I'm in love with my Night Darkshark.
a few days ago when it snowed here in kent I took the wheels and the axle (I think thats what its called???) off my skateboard and used it as a sled/snowboard works surprisingly well, with the upturned edge and smooth underside makes going fast dangerously easy
what wheels would you guys recommend for relaxed, flat land riding that slide real easy for shuv its and the like i have some orangatang 4pres' at the moment but theyre getting old and i feel like i could do with something slightly slidier, mine are the 80a ones i think they'd be going on a dervish if that makes a difference
arbor vugenhausen I'd really like to get one myself but I'm in love with my Night Darkshark.
what about drop-throughs? I'm sorry if I'm being annoying I want to have a variety to choose from before I set my heart on something.

I heard they're the tits. [editline]12th February 2012[/editline]
what about drop-throughs? I'm sorry if I'm being annoying I want to have a variety to choose from before I set my heart on something.
You have so much to choose from drop through wise, I personally have a landyachtz switchblade, I like the look of the dragula, jati makes one, you can literally browse for hours on them. Most drop throughs have drops for pockets or they don't. I like the pockets because they lock you in pretty well but nothing beats the feeling of a topmount for me.
almost hit two geese at 35mph today, was a very interesting experience.
almost hit two geese at 35mph today, was a very interesting experience.
Fucking geese, man. They always congregate in a group of 15-30 on one the paved trails near me. I hate having to evade their shit piles.
Fucking geese, man. They always congregate in a group of 15-30 on one the paved trails near me. Fearless assholes.
you know what sounds fun dropping acid and longboarding
you know what sounds fun dropping acid and longboarding
Not sure if I would try longboarding on acid, but smoking and boarding go hand-in-hand.
http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1541.JPG http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_1562.JPG Took some pics of my friend while we were boarding all over. He was Lebowski on here.
Took some pics of my friend while we were boarding all over. He was Lebowski on here.
Are you the red triangle, the blue triangle, or the green circle?
Are you the red triangle, the blue triangle, or the green circle?
Guess I need to find other hosting :/ [editline]12th February 2012[/editline]
you know what sounds fun dropping acid and longboarding
shrooms makes the experience so much more fun, I've longboarded on a lot of drugs. Shrooms was by far my favorite. [editline]13th February 2012[/editline] By far adderall makes you the best skater ever, took some around 2pm for a big test I had and I was still feeling it once I got home so I went skating. Never have I felt so in control and had so much time in my slides, I really need to pop one of these before a slide jam.
Not sure if I would try longboarding on acid, but smoking and boarding go hand-in-hand.
i will experiment in future and report back here
i will experiment in future and report back here
have you done acid before?
I have absolutely no respect for people who think "Downhilling while high/drunk/tripping etc is soo radd mann", cause cmon, get a fucking life. Adam Colton for example, one of the god damn best skaters on the fucking planet, has never done drugs or ever will, look at him, probably one of the most successful longboarders you will ever see, no company will want to sponsor you if you just like getting stoned every weekend to shittily longboard. They want to hire someone who shows improvement as well as the want for improvement. I fucking hate it when people come to slide jams high/drunk, hopefully you wont either and btw i just lost most of my respect for takkun and fine call me some naive little kid, but hey, i fucking love the sport, if you want to ruin it for yourself, and your friends then be my guest.
