Brian, is it something he said that offended you? I think he was only trying to help; he mean't well. Please say what it is that makes you feel uneasy when people reply to your photos. I don't want to unintentionally offend you or make you uncomfortable the next time I comment on one of your future works. I'm sure the same goes for Perfumly.
Why does it matter if he gets offended? We all get offended at one point or another, it comes with the job.

ordered my friggen IR remote for my XS finally dont have to focus manually
would've been a better photo if you weren't in it and instead you focused on the branches. and you SHOULD be focusing manually, it should be a feat to finally not have to do auto-focus. [editline]10:19PM[/editline] unless of course for some reason you were taking self shots
I need more subjects to get pictures of, it sucks living in a boring town. Sure there's stuff, but not as much as if you were in an interesting place.

It helps me a lot in my opinion cause it puts me into the habit of composition and such... plus its difficult. and yes I manually focus all of the time. but for self portraits with a 50mm you kind of need autofocus for a nicely focused shot [usually]
If my cat could talk, he could tell me my life story. He saw me come home for the first time. He saw me walk for the first time. He saw me go to school for the first time. He saw me graduate from high school. The only thing he didn't see was me, grieving over his lifeless body.
Bunch a' little guys and a big guy.

Song Yeah, it's not ready yet, only a minute long but I have a pretty good vision of where it's going. Might be the first actual song( mixed and over 3 minutes long ) that I have done. Comments & criticism please

Something that came to mind while reading it.
brian has never been able to take any form of criticism, it's not news
Brian is sensitive towards criticism, yes. But a lot of people are way too harsh towards him too. But he should try and be happy that he actually manages to get so much attention around his work.
But a lot of people are way too harsh towards him too.
Only because he's boastful and then acts like a baby when someone points out a flaw. He could learn a lot about composition and make a lot better stuff.
Only because he's boastful and then acts like a baby when someone points out a flaw. He could learn a lot about composition and make a lot better stuff.
I think he knows what he is doing. I've seen many great photos from him, he knows how to edit and he knows how to do composition. Not saying you shouldn't keep giving constructive criticism to him, I too have been a bitch towards him. But I think he usually achieves what he himself wants to achieve.
On the whole FP is more critical than any layperson, film goer, or client ever would be Even specific photography forums I've frequented in the past have been nicer It's constructive, but you need a thick skin That and it's sorta fun to bait the fish if they keep biting the worm
I'd consider it a good thing; not that we always know what we're talking about, but not sugar coating stuff tends to be good as a learning experience.
The way I see it, we aren't DeviantArt. On DA everyone's got a sugar frosted ice cream chocolate coat over everything they say. You get no constructive criticism that way, only praise, even if your work is bad. Here we just let loose what we think.

I don't use rule of thirds and I think her belly button ring is off. I should be shot.
And there you go [editline]09:02PM[/editline] It's a good picture. Nobody ever said you were bad.

No one ever said you were bad Brian, maybe you should just learn to accept a post that is intended to be helpful.
