• How to get a certain eye effect?

I'm not good at Photoshop at all, but what I'm trying to do is to copy the same eye's like Tyler, the Creator did in his video "Yonkers" Like so: Thanks.
Black them out and then add in a fake reflection, if you doing that for video its a whole other story.
Soft black brush in overlay mode on a new layer, and be careful to preserve the original shines as they'll look better than ones you might put on yourself. If you were lazy you could block them in and then turn down the transparency on the black layer and erase over the shines
Like I said above I'm not that good at Photoshop. If anybody wouldn't mind showing how they did it step by step ?
Use the lasso to carefully select the eyeball Create a new layer Colour in the selection black Temporarily move the layer behind the original background Select the shiny bits of the eyeball using lasso Copy and paste them onto the black eyeball layer and move it to the front again You will need to select very carefully to make the seam convincing, you'll probably want to touch up the edge with a small brush on the smudge tool, in tiny circular motions.
Window - Adjustments. Click on "Black & White" in the new window that popped up (you might already have it up). This icon: You now have a new adjustment layer called Black & White and your adjustment window has changed since you have that new layer selected. In the drop-down menu on the top chose "High Contrast Blue Filter" or "Maximum Black" Or whatever gives you black eyes and the desired look on the person overall (You can also change it all manually by adjusting the sliders). You are done. If you want just the eyes to be black and the rest in colour then click on the white square on the adjustment layer. Now paint with a brush with black colour where the eyes are (they will get colour, don't be a afraid) and when you have covered it all press CTRL + I (this will invert it, so the black becomes white and vica versa) your eyes are now black and the rest is coloured like normal. Chose a white brush and fix it up if needed.

What an amazing shot. Not the eyes - I'm not a big fan of the effect itself - but the whole piece. Really sharp and well-done.

But I don't see how Tyler made his Iris huge.
This will be tons of help! But I don't see how Tyler made his Iris huge.
| NOT a PS expert here! | I'm 90% sure he used contacts for the video. That said, it wouldn't seem hard to just fill in the rest of the eye with the same black, once you sort out the reflections.
This will be tons of help! But I don't see how Tyler made his Iris huge.
Contact lenses. Also what Bopie said. Just brush over (in a new layer) with a black brush over the remaining parts of the eye.
