I looked everywhere, but there seems to be no thread like this... Basically just post series that you didn't like and the reasons for such a thing. (I must say I made this thread because of one in particular) Missing, with Ashley Judd (or maybe I should call it Ashley Judd, on missing) Its a story about this woman who was in the CIA and then her son goes missing when he goes on vacation. I cringe whenever I hear about it. When the publicity for it comes on the breaks between shows I just want to punch the TV, because I'm damn fucking sure she is going to say "I must find my son", "I will find my son", "I will rescue my son", bla bla bla my son... Jesus fuck, I think every episode she says the same damn thing. Its a big cliche of a show, done before multiple times apparently. Not only that, you must think "hey I'm watching something shot in Paris!" or something of the sort, while in fact its some back alley of some shithole. Also has alot of stupid Hollywoody misconceptions like Ashley Judd being able to kick the shit out of 2 'roid filled guys with a handful of chops. Not to mention that it seems like the main selling point of this is Ashley Judd and nothing else. Slap on it a known Hollywood star, and everybody will watch it even though its crap.
anything by tyler perry, the two shows he has about dumb black men with sassy black women with a ton of the awful jokes that ensue are a travesty.
Anything Seth MacFarlane puts out. Sure, he has his funny moments, I'll admit, but his shows are always trying to push the envelope and be racy all for laughs. Most of the jokes in his shows are randomly put in there, like "oh I haven't been this wet since I attended [random famous person]'s wedding" and then a five minute scene follows trying to make lame joke funnier than it really is. Also, he uses the same fucking formula for each of them. It's always a father figure, his wife and two kids, a talking animal, and someone else.
InsertPoliceForce/AgencyHere:InsertLocation besides L&O and it's spinoffs.

Any American sitcom, cop drama or teen, twilight rip off about vampires. The quality and presentation of that stuff is rock bottom, cultureless and unfunny. Canned laughter should be banned, I don't need a cue to laugh. Too many of these things have the obligatory gay with his mincing and female flatmate/best friend. It’s like somebody shitting in a bag and throwing it at my eyes. Will the makers of this stuff please drink some acid and do us all a favour by dieing.
Every TV and book series that tries to bank on Twilight's success by making vampires to be wimpy sex symbols.
Vampires have always been sex symbols though
Well...to a certain degree, yes. I just think that it's all they're going for now. this is fine This is what I'm talking about.
Vampires have always been sex symbols though
I'm thinking he means a different sort. Whereas older vampire movies made them mysterious and charismatic, newer vampire movies are basically showcasing how the vampire's introversion is supposed to make him panty-creamingly attractive and how dreamy they are. It's about subtlety.

All reality tv It's just people with horrible personalities getting prizes and doing stupid/boring things. I used to like survivor and the amazing race, just because it was different and pretty cool sometimes, but even they've gotten very old. And don't get me started on X Factor, The Voice, Idol, Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance. I loathe them.
MAD, on cartoon network. Terribly unfunny pop culture references and also tries to insult other shows (adventure time and regular show) that are way better than it. And im sorry to say this, but the newer spongebob has become disgusting. Instead of simple slapstick, which made the first few seasons gold, it has turned into terrible gore along with completely forced singing parts.

[editline]5th June 2012[/editline] the whole vampire masquerade thing is a good example of awesome vampires. also you're missing out on the fact that loving a vampire is forbidden because it's like some godforsaken atrocity. you're in love with what is basically a monster. i've never seen or read twilight but i bet they play with that forbidden fruit apple a lot. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] ACTUALLY IF I FUCKING RECALL CORRECTLY THE COVER OF ONE OF THE BOOKS IS TWO HANDS CUPPING A FUCKING APPLE.
The Big Bang Theory is ridiculously stupid with long-winded ~nerd jokes~, unfunny antics, and just plain unnatural characters. Then again, sitcoms in general are pretty bad. Missing is just Taken with the sexes reversed to create ~strong female lead~. Teen Wolf or just about any show aimed at teenagers and their "real life drama". And shows that show family businesses and their "day-to-day operations" or rich people going around acting stupid for some reason. There's so much stupidity on television these days, like the companies aren't trying too hard to make a good comedy or an interesting drama. It's just the same rehashed sitcoms and cop/doctor/fireman dramas that litter television. I'm just waiting for the next seasons of Homeland, Spartacus, and The Walking Dead to come on.
There are plenty of great American sitcoms. (Audience laughs and claps for 10 seconds) "Oh." (Audience laughs for 5 more seconds)
Is it bad that I hate most sitcoms that have a laugh track? Most of the time, the jokes aren't even funny. If they do manage to get a chuckle off me, it lasts short since it's ruined by that stock sound. Thinking about it, I hate most of the shows that are on TV right now. I couldn't take any drama seriously due to how toned down they were. They didn't show anything sad, horrific, or even emotional in comparison to the other movies I've seen. The action scenes in most TV shows are mostly (boring) talk and little action. I know for sure that it's not me being an ADD kid since I'm not easily bored of the documentaries and action movies that I mostly watch.

Big Brother is especially great; the people there are so ungodly stupid that it's fascinating to watch them, especially as they slowly go insane from living with each other for 2 months. The smart ones are usually the first to snap from having to deal with them. I never miss an episode.
Teen Wolf or just about any show aimed at teenagers and their "real life drama".
Ugh, now these are the type of shows I really hate. Then again, who would reject pay for acting incredibly irrational, extremely spoiled, and unreasonably melodramatic?

Much of the dialogue had become cringe-worthy, and the action was simply non-existent. And I hated Andrea most of all. I also didn't like season 6 of Lost, they almost completely abandoned the sci-fi aspect and focused solely on all that spiritual stuff (up until that point it had been a fine balance), and the fucking smoke monster was Jacobs brother (oh it wasn't ben controlling him, it was him controlling ben) and they had the shittiest kid actors and ugh. It started out really promising, but after Season 5 it was just a huge let-down.

But then again, Titus didn't really use canned laughter until the third season. The first two seasons they actually had an audience. Also, it was a legitimately funny sitcom unlike most of what's being shoveled out these days.
DOCTOR WHO [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] Also American reality TV is quite fucking something... Especially the shittier ones shown later at evening. It's hilarious when they try their hardest to dramatize some work-places and such. I can FEEL the camera crew behind there, basically slowing down the work place for the day of filming, while directors want to create some "dangerous and exciting" work situations. :v: Incredibly funny shit when high on pot.

The entire show is watching people I don't like do absolutely nothing. There is no objective or plot, they just sit in a house and get shitty with each other.
I hate Doctor Who now. It's pretty much some unwinnable battle then all of a sudden the Doctor pulls out some amazing bullshit out of his ass and saves the day. The bullshit is usually something like love or will power. Like the Doctor being save by everyone thinking "Doctor" all at once, or the [sp]"Donna/Doctor"[/sp] (probably my most hated scene of all time in any TV show, practically killed Doctor Who for me) or [sp]the doctor getting married stopped the universe from collapsing[/sp]. It's all bullshit and ruined Doctor Who. The actor are fine, the characters aren't too bad, but the story and plot is unbearably retarded after about halfway into season 4. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] Pretty much the doctor could do nothing for an entire episode then fix everything in a 5 minute span at the end of the show [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] I can't think of any American live action comedy I've liked, and the only animated ones I like are South Park, Futurama, and the first 12-15 (?) seasons of the Simpsons
series' that i absolutely despise: Family Guy Modern Family American Dad The Big Bang Theory Two and a Half Men How I Met Your Mother Doctor Who CSI all reality tv shows
The only reality TV show that I've liked so far is Gaki No Tsukai.

In my personal opinion, Family guy goes bad the later it gets. The first seasons were actually ok, and make me laugh quite alot, but only up to a point. Everything past a certain point is just forced and unfunny. American dad has its ups and downs. Kind of lost its appeal. The Cleveland Show is just awful. It tries to be what it should never be, and ends up being the most boring, the most ridiculous and annoying thing created by Seth McFarlane. I don't think I've ever enjoyed anything in it because it tries too hard to be... anything at all. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline]
anything by tyler perry, the two shows he has about dumb black men with sassy black women with a ton of the awful jokes that ensue are a travesty.
Wiki'd him "Diary of a mad black woman" Hahaha... I can't watch that, but it might be because of the fact that I'm tired of shows like it, so not really its fault. We got our own "Rex, the police hound" or whatever its called, difference is it has more shots of him licking his dick and cringy bad acting (heard today a one liner that screamed lazyness all the way) than anything else you've ever seen. Hell, the dog isn't even shown that much, they show the cop guy's family more and their stupid shenanigans with their fat ass cousin with moobs bigger than his dick. We got our own ("successfull") teen drama (Morangos Com Açúcar) that, to describe it in a simple way, is the same rehashed problem as you guys think of CoD and other games of the sort. Its been going ever since 2003, and every school year, they recycle it with the most fucking annoying stereotypical characters you could think of. I shit you not. Theres the good/cool people who everybody likes, the neutrals and their problems, the parents, the kids, then the assholes that dress all fancy and act like jackasses with huge revenge plots and shit. They give it a stupid theme, this year its fashion last year was performance numbers and bla bla. All its good for is to get a few dumbasses to work since they can't do anything else, and then they go onwards for other drama shows with more bad acting and shitty stories. We also got a shitload of contest shows that nobody should care about because they are biased as fuck (according to how much people like the celebreties in them) and our own Oprah clones, one of them where the hosts could be talking about something important like cancer or rape or whatever, and the second after they are asking a porn star if they suck cock well. Also have our own twilight clones, and when I say clones, I do mean clones. The producers made the characters exactly like on twilight. Fuck sakes... Oh, and our reality shows?... Jesus FUCK... I got in a "fight" on facebook with a girl that had the hots for some dumbass(literally, the guy even said something like "hey I've never went to Spain, but I've went to Madrid") from a reality show where you have secrets and people must find them out. She said he was an angel, I replied with "wow then angels are very common on this planet", she squirmed around whining and then deleted me. Good ridance. Theres a reason why I don't watch national TV anymore. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline]
Well...to a certain degree, yes. (pardon if that felt racist, but come on, what the hell is this)
