Eh I'll see it regardless of how dodgy that lizard looks, it's Spider-man.
The lizard originally looked like this
That's been said a lot in here but yeah it's still stupid to go with the less familiar old look and not the one most people know him for these days. Plus he just looks way more bad ass in the current form. This version all I see is the fucking super mario brother movie goomba on steroids.
nah, i'd still rather see him in the lab coat n shit just cuz lizard was never a serious villain IMO, he was always low-tier.
I don't think there's a version of Lizard where he isn't wearing a labcoat.

Looks both boring and ugly.
looks like they tried to avoid having to do expensive cgi and just made a cheap mask.
Am I seriously the only one that doesn't have a problem with it? Lizard doesn't look right 0/10 Movie ruined It's different, I don't like it, hurr durr
Oh I don't care about lizard. I just hate Spidey's new outfit. I do wish they had stuck with the more traditional take on it but I guess they want to sway from the previous trilogy as much as possible to avoid confusion of sorts

Spices things up. Just dont go....too far.
Yeah, that's completely different.
I know, he doesnt have powers, goes around with children, and dresses as a bat. Spider-man is a kid, dresses as a spider, and has powers.
I went from hating on it, to looking forward to it. The fuck's wrong with me?
I went from hating on it, to looking forward to it. The fuck's wrong with me?
Nothing at all.
looks like they tried to avoid having to do expensive cgi and just made a cheap mask.
Cuz if there's one thing we don't see enough of in Hollywood these days, it's CGI.

hm
looks like they tried to avoid having to do expensive cgi and just made a cheap mask.
I think they just wanted to preserve the possibility of facial expression made by the actor, so they didn't just have a CG face the entire time.
Masks are almost always superior to CGI faces When physical effects are feasible, I say go physical.
First clip [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxCl_vUOHoA[/hd]
Everything everywhere must be an asshole to peter parker. Even his toaster. Yes his toaster, it burns his toast.
Don't know if I should see this, or save my time and watch MiB 3 instead.
He is pretty.
Don't know if I should see this, or save my time and watch MiB 3 instead.
What lol
Yeah they call those guys goombas even though they're clearly closer to being a live-action recreation of the koopas. And then Bowser was just a weird pink dude or something who later they devolve into a t-rex. That movie's weird.
The Super Mario Bros. movie had a fucked up story which basically made it impossible for goombas to exist the way they do in the games. Everyone working for the fucked-up Bowser stand-in HAD to be reptilian for them to make sense. It's quite likely that the writers never played the games.
Don't know if I should see this, or save my time and watch MiB 3 instead.
That's the magic of modern cinema. You can see both.
He is pretty.
rusty disagrees. he always wanted to play peter parker, it all makes sense now
The Lizard's face looks too human for my liking. And where's his lab coat? :(
Don't know if I should see this, or save my time and watch MiB 3 instead.
Pretty sure that this is going to be so much better than MiB3 which just looks awful beyond comprehension.
Huge Spidey fan here. I honestly don't mind that The Lizard is the antagonist. It shows that they're starting small, so they can have more time to build connections with the characters. What I just hope is that when they [sp]kill off Gwen[/sp] (they've confirmed plans for a sequel), they don't do it like they did in the comic book by [sp]snapping her neck.[/sp] When I saw the first trailer, I was really turned off. Peter didn't look his nerdy part. Instead he looked like fucking Edward. The special effects also looked really stupid. I also didn't like the suit as much as I did in the other Spider-man movies. But after seeing the second trailer, and giving it some more thought, I'm starting to look forward to this reboot. Also, if they do get as far as to introduce the black suit, I really really really hope they don't fuck it up like they did with Spider-man 3.
