We talk about books here. Books are good for you. Read some. RULES: 1) Talk about books and only books. No posts that don't have to do with books please. 2) DO NOT SPOIL BOOKS 3) When introducing a book, include a picture, breif summary, and personal thoughts on the book. 4) Do not flame others for their book tastes. Not even 'Twilight' Other thread was just autolocked, I think. Also I'm reading Eragon again just because. replying to a post in the last thread
I'm not really fond of science fiction books, instead I like stories which deal with the theme of human nature and its dark side, like what Macbeth does. Does anyone have recommendations?
if you haven't read or seen it already, Hamlet.

spooky villages: the complete collection
Reading a novel called "Dance Dance Dance" by Haruki Murakami, it's brilliant, as is everything that man craps out. He could spit on a piece of used toilet paper, and it would still be book of the year.
Hay I'm reading the eragon series atm too :P on the last book.
Just my luck to get the last post before lock. Bought A Game of Thrones (again) just now. Now I have the whole series in hardcover. Also got Century Rain by Reynolds and a zombie novel called Autumn by David Moody. Let's hope it's another positive surprise like Grant's Feed.
Starting "The Possessed" very soon. I realized that Dostoevsky was awesome after reading Crime and Punishment for school.
I like Stephen King a bit.
Fun and useless fact: It was "It" that got me into reading in the first place. Edit: I just realized how it looks when I'm discussing Russian literature posted from a Mac. It's ok, I kind of hate me too.

Dostoevski and Kafta are awesome. Reading Dante's Paradisio atm (underrated compared to inferno).

He's talking about the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind :v: Not read Sword of Shannara, my friend really rates it. The Sword of Truth series is fantastic though. Really really good example of non-Tolkien high fantasy
My favourite book. Definitely worth opening. ...
Wheel of time is probably better than SoT in my opinion, but that's just me. Mostly because I love Elayne
Wheel of time is probably better than SoT in my opinion, but that's just me. Mostly because I love Elayne
Lan is the most awesome character in the series imo, I wish they had more stuff from his pov.
Lan is cool, but he's generally boring to me. My favorite male character is probably Mat, and Rand second. I never really liked Perrin, even though he reminds me most of myself. I guess I don't like myself, derp.
yeahh, caught 'em all Having hardcovers of your favorite books feels good
When I have a job, I will spend the exorbant amount necessary to get these: [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline]
Reading the first one at the minute.
