Neat
I wanna learn to shade, but I'm afraid I'd ruin it if I did it on that.
Get it to a photocopy store (I don't know what to call it)
Ah you mean photocopy and print of copies and practice on those?
If you really have no idea how to shade then I'd suggest doing simpler objects than a car before jumping at it. Or just do what riki suggested and get some copies and practice on those.

I'll do both. Take some copies and also attempt some smaller shading tests. :)

I like to think that if you start out with an awesome picture, you have a good foundation to elaborate on. And besides, if you mess up it's no biggie. In the long run it just means you're improving

And I can perserve the original till I KNOW I can finish it. :)
tbh i don't think anyone was actually very snide this time for a change so let's not start another 15 page argument about the exact level of niceness that should be employed when in this thread?
Upgrade and FULS

Somebody was asking for tutorials a while back, pages and pages ago asking for some colouring tutorial for those amazing pictures. I'd just like to bring it back up because I'm stumped over this situation too. Can anyone help us? I'd appreciate the help, thanks.

Hey guys, long time since I have done any work in this section so I decided to get warmed up by doing a league of legends piece (I am currently addicted to the game, may or may not have contributed to my lack of doing art recently). The piece is still in the works but I know you all have interest in each other's workflow, so here is the base sketch and then my color template set up: Basic sketch, canvas is 2500X3500. Afterwards I begin to lay out the colors and how they will affect the piece. A lot of people need to use templates of some sort, and I highly advise you do it, I just find myself more impulsive in my art so I simply began throwing colors down until I am satisfied with the look and feel. After this I move in fleshing out the shapes and details, much like someone with clay will begin to shave off the remaining excess from the general shape they made. Then it will be onto rendering.
It's nice. Two hours seems quite a bit for bare outlines
yeah i was working very lazily, its probably closer to one hour of solid work

im still a bit surprised that most people havent changed to cs6 yet
im still a bit surprised that most people havent changed to cs6 yet
Are there any significant benefits compared to CS5? except the different layout? Might do so.
cs5 works fine, no need to change it, there are some changes of course, the best might be that if ps crashes, it auto recovers your work. And the dark interface is seriously sexy.
It's nice. Two hours seems quite a bit for bare outlines
Take a look at David Downtons work.. Few bare outlines.. Hours to days of work.. Fantastic and elegant results.

I need to get myself a damn scanner. Can you guys recommend me anything? Was unsure where else to ask, plus I wanted to post some of my work here. Here's a pic: [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30429443/picface11[/t] EDIT: Shit, that's huge.
