A little work in progress.
I like the perspective and stance. Seems full of action even if it isn't actually doing anything.
For all of you guys looking for references and brushes and stuff like that, I found an awesome site filled with those by one of my favorite artists, and so far it's been incredibly useful. Everyone should check this out! http://www.sycra.net/ (resources page) Hope you guys find it as helpful as I did :p

I've had Photoshop Elements for a while, but I've used it almost exclusively for drawing/coloring and texturing models. I've used it a little before to touch up pictures or cut out the background, but not much else. So I decided to try a little practice for fun. I've been playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution a lot, so I 'shopped myself as Adam Jensen. Couldn't get my hair right, though. I've also begun listening to Gorillaz (bought Demon Days a few months back and picked up Plastic Beach the other day) so I made meself look like 2-D from the DD cover. It's not the best, but it's pretty good. [editline]5th February 2012[/editline] Oh yeah, I made these for profile pictures on Facebook and such.
I think this looks a bit more like the cover art to Demon Days.

Worked on it a bit more. Might continue tomorrow.

I actually liked the first one with no action more, this somehow has less action even with the explosions. Also the light blue highlights don't really make sense. Metal reflects its own colour. I think the action thing has to do with leaving space for imagination. In the first pic the other mech is shooting, implying that combat is on but only the viewer's imagination is the limit how big and beautiful the explosions would be. Now you've limited that to what you've painted. Also, bit over an hour speedpaint thingy, crits are welcome.

Well, my Bamboo got stolen. That will be a couple of weeks without digital drawing until I can afford a Intuos.
lol who would steal a bamboo.
lol who would steal a bamboo.
Bamboos are fine
yeah of course they're fine, I used one for 2 years, but I don't get why people would steal one as they're not very expensive or hard to find.

i am working on a kind of geisha head logo for my friends 21st birthday. i think i posted a much earlier version and she wanted a lot of style revisions
what exactly is it for? i like it so far
it's just her logo. she basically wants her face to be everywhere for her 21st, bottles of water, maybe japanese themed headbands, shit like that
doesnt really look that japanese, not sure what to suggest
