http://romanticallyapocalyptic.com/ cant stop him from changing things. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline] I dont really mind that much, it does look loads better when he paints in the stuff I didnt have time to do
For a second I thought the red deer thing was wearing hipster glasses in the second to last panel. I don't follow the comic so I have no idea what is going on, but the art in your guest comics are really good, well done.
I'm not sure I really like RA much these days, its strayed away from humour and into vague seriousness but I don't feel it has much substance to it. Its pretty, but there isn't much else to it than that.
I think it's nice that it finally has a plot.
Just a sorda test run to get the hang of animation, had a look at a few spritesheets and such to get an idea as to how it all works. Only four frames. Proportions and movement is probably way off, but this is my first time doing anything of the sort. (The movement of the hair/fire is horrid, but I want to add more frames to the base before I worry about making that look nice)
I'm gonna say lean the character forward into the run a bit more, emphasize the movement. Right now the pose suggests power walking or half-jogging to get to a bus stop on time

I'm not an expert on this kind of thing, but it looks one leg is always in front and one is always behind like a weird gallop. The whole thing could do with being smoother aswell, especially the arms.

You don't see the legs pass over each other so it does look weird, yes. Anyway the point of this was to just get the hang of animation in general, I've never gone anywhere near this kind of stuff before and this is about as amateur as it gets.
looks more like she's skiing rather than running.
I accidentally arted [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/Signal/20120223002.jpg[/t] I wish her eyes didn't go in different directions :<
Welp, since my sketchbook is dead I might as well post my work here.
Don't worry, it's never too late to learn how to use it correctly!
It was used correctly.

Final version of my painting, sorry for potential spam. Pretty happy with this overall despite some errors, going to try and render a less 'corky' face next time and stay away from hair for the foreseeable future :v: Hopefully goes down well as I'm going to print it for my girlfriend who recently dip dyed her hair pink :) (btw is the background too cheesy? I might not include it afterall :p)
I was sketching traditionally on canvas then I started to look for the save button :(
I was sketching traditionally on canvas then I started to look for the save button :(
I did something similar once. I have my laptop next to me when drawing and when i messed up, i tried Ctrl+Z.
I'm having a lot of trouble finding what posters to print for concerts. Everyone seems to have a different "favorite" piece of mine, but I only want to print the best ones. I'm gona dither them when I know which ones I want, so they will still be shaded, just less colorful. I guess I want the best, most contrasting, and most interesting/intricate pieces to print. Anyway, would you buy any of these as posters or prints? which ones your favorite? (Idk if the mickey mouse one is copyright infringing though....) i have tried to control z on multiple occasions while drawing irl like i honestly made the hand gesture on the paper purely out of reflex
I would try to look for buttons on my pen to change the size. I would also try to load when I play too much game.
Just some strange..things I've drawn today. [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/faces666.jpg[/thumb]
I would try to look for buttons on my pen to change the size. I would also try to load when I play too much game.
many times when drawing with a pencil i have looked for the eraser tool for a good minute before realizing I have to use an eraser
are you guys serious? Sometimes when i need a new piece of paper i try to press ctrl-a backspace to delete whats on my sheet of paper. It's only after a good 20 minutes that I realize that it is in fact, real life.
Am I the only person in here that completely distinguishes real-life from computers when working? Never experienced any digital habits or needs when working traditional.
why do you guys try to ctrl z on sheets of paper? does it work? i'll start doing it, that way i can avoid spending money on erasers!
I sometime try to do the selection tool (I even draw a quick circle on the mistake) when I draw sketches on paper. :v:
I sometime try to do the selection tool (I even draw a quick circle on the mistake) when I draw sketches on paper. :v:
wow nothing of this sort has ever ever happened to me, hasnt even crossed my mind although i hardly draw digitally anywhere near as much as you lot

Made this today, yesterday I was asked to do a shirt for a band called Evan. Basically this was their request: Something Weird + "Fuck You Evan" Don't know if it works best on a shirt though [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
Didnt know what to do with the face, so overused generic expression happened. Deal with it.
ey deviantart
Definitely works, that's sweet.
