look up eoc, engine off coasting, my old truck i use to cut it off on the 2 lane road. at about 45-50 mph at a top of a mountain well a couple and coast 2-3 miles up to about 65-70 mph, put it back in 5th and slowly let the clutch out. it would start no issue. did that to my white tacoma for years. http://ecomodder.com/forum/em-fuel-log.php?vehicleid=169 driving with engine load and eoc was how i got 27-30mpg out of a 4x4 pickup. now i dont do that to my mazda, i dont know how electric steering would react. and my commute has changed alot.
Yes yes yes yes yes. I've read the owners manual for his car afew times now and the only thing that I believe it is "Auto Idle Stop" buuuuut it has a note "Under certain conditions, the engine will shut off when you come to a stop. Those conditions are : The vehicles speed is below 19mph and you are pressing the break peddle to come to a stop." \o/ I dunnoooooo. And the manual says nothing about EOC :suicude: I guarantee you its something silly to save fuel. [sp]because loleco[/sp] [editline]gknhgh[/editline] Anyway's I gotta make a trip to Dallas to pick up afew things for my boss. Decided to bring my sis along and go explore the Arlington area for anything fun to do. Madddriftu may happen if you find my wagon. Trust me its easy to spot. Look for a bumperless wagon.

In my opinion it falls in to the trap that so many other environmentally friendly cars fall into too: They've made it "futuristic", which apparently almost always involves a certain quantity of ugly. I'd just want a regular car that's electric, not any of this.
I think externally it actually looks quite good, not great, but better than some of these "super futuristic hyper hybrid" things they spew out every now and again. Stick in a nice dash and change out those awful looking seats and it'd pass as a nice hybrid model! Then let M division get their hands on it, mmmmm :v:

I really like the "futuristic" style though, it almost gives off a cyberpunk look. The lines, corners and angles make it look like past styles like during the 70's, 80's and 90's. But I hate the doughy fat shape. They could just make a small 325...

Get fucked McGowan
No, fuck off. I'm buying myself a WRX and they can't stop me! How would they work it though, no V8s only? Power to weight ratio, ban turbos etc etc. Either way, P platers who know anything about cars would be able to find a way around the ban. Edit: read the article properly, so I could still get myself a V6 which some still have quite a bit of power.
Why did I read that and imagine a kid yelling "I didn't like it anyways" right after his mother took his most fav toy from him.
I don't know, because it was obviously by choice. I ended up with something far better than a CRX.
While the car is undrivable, I took the time to "install" a thermometer in it, so I at least can see the temperature in the coupe :v: And yes its on its side because there's no horizontal holes and I can't be arsed to make a new one, maybe later if I get a dremel.
does that get covered up with your keys in the ignition though?
does that get covered up with your keys in the ignition though?
Nah, I keep my keychain clean

I'm in LA now, I already saw a stock-looking FD3S, it was nice
I'm in LA now, I already saw a stock-looking FD3S, it was nice
Last time I was in LA, the first hour I saw 2 GTRs, a few M3s, a few high end mercedes, etc.
Pretty happy right now, finished rebuilding the bottom end of the Daytona. Rod bearings 2 and 3 were slightly worn and 4 was falling apart, but did no damage luckily. I barely managed to save it, caught it just in time. Re-assembled and checked everything, buttoned it up, and let it break in at idle for 15 minutes. My cold oil pressure before was 30-40 PSI and warm was as low as 5 PSI, so I knew there was a problem. It ended up being the #4 rod bearing coming apart. Now the oil pressure is 70 PSI when cold and 50 PSI when warm. Excellent. Giving it time to cool down while I replace the front engine mount, and then giving it another cold warmup cycle and taking it for a test drive. Should be good. Now I can focus my time on the Turbo Z.
Mila Kunis was at the MOA last sunday. I was working last sunday. I MISSED MILA KUNIS. My life is no longer worth living.

Whats your thoughts on a buick riviera for a first car. 1998 Or anything with a supercharged 3800 in it. Got a family member looking to get it off their hands, good condition, garage kept, asking only 2k since I'm family with 105,000. Someone local has a grand prix gtp (forgot year or exact mileage) good body for sale I beleive $4800 with the supercharged 3800 thats why I asked about the engine, too, in general. I know both are only auto (which I'm not happy about), but the gtp also has better mileage. Opinions about both? And yes, I know... insurance, so thats why they are only ideas atm.

Rallying will always be my favourite motorsport. It's amazing how much stress the cars can take yet still power on, especially on off-road stages.
Well fuck Turns out my catch can doesn't work as well as I thought. My PCV system is clogged. My front cam seal is leaking along with my oil cap. Guess I am taking off the breather box tomorrow :suicide:

I've got a plan for how to upset people. I get a big american car, obviously with a big thirsty v8. I take the v8 out and put in a small economical straight 4 and then just drive that around all the time. You can't imagine how pissed people around here would get.

Okay so basically, I get an old american car, convert to independant suspenion, put a hybrid rotary in it (if those even exist, I'll just make one if they don't) and drive it around Sounds like a plan.

They're moving away from sports cars and moving towards efficiency. So the next rotary they make might just be a small one designed for hybrid cars
Then proceed to convert the rear to independant suspension. Or buy a Camaro and put a rotary in it, see how they like it!
no one cares about rotary into v8 cars, but most butthards get a little saucy over v8s/i6s into rotary cars.
