Do you mean best album art?
No, packaging wise. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
There's a few boxes of vinyls lying in my shed. I dunno what's in them. They're probably all fucked now :v:
They are durable. Try cleaning them and they should sound great.
Oho ho
Nice collection you got there.
Whats the best vinyl album packaging wise?
A few of them have those nice thick gatefold covers.
A few of them have those nice thick gatefold covers.
I meant albums specifically :3:
The ones from Goatsnake are pretty rad aswell as the one from the Desert Sessions because it's screen printed.
Whats the best vinyl album packaging wise?
Sunn O)))'s Monoliths & Dimensions is beautifully packed.
Sunn O)))'s Monoliths & Dimensions is beautifully packed.
My brother is into Sunn O))) but I could never really get into it.
They are admittedly difficult to understand.
I'm building a small collection of vinyls. Mainly house/electronic stuff.
Here is my collection of vinyl. 7" unless noted.
Barbatos/Incriminated - Split (2x 5" Discs) Boris - Japanese Heavy Rock Hits v1 Boris - Japanese Heavy Rock Hits v3 Furdidurke - Native Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart Leech/The Funeral Pyre - The First Book of the Kings Sacriphyx - Lone Pine
12" unless noted
Agalloch - From Which of this Oak Bone Awl - Not For Our Feet Bone Awl - Meaningless Leaning Mess Earth - Earth 2 - Special Low Frequency Version Mudhoney - The Lucky Ones Mount Eerie - Black Wooden Ceiling Opening (10") Mount Eerie - Song Islands vol. 2 Om - Live at Jerusalem Thorr's Hammer - Dommedagsnatt A Silver Mt. Boris on vinyl is bloddy RARE :argh: Also a few Bob Dylan ones and that Wailor original zippo cover album... Worth hundreds...
I'd love to, if I had any. :(
I'd love to, if I had any. :(
There are loads of record shops around these days. Also consider checking out charity shops (though they're usually full of standard crap like "_____ sings the hits", you do get some cool finds, like my Phil Collins albums).
Getting the vinyls wouldn't be as much of a problem as getting something to play them on. I had a vinyl player when I was a kid, but it kind of completely broke, so it got thrown out. :C
buying technics next year, yeah will deffinetely be listening to vinyls then :p.
There are hundreds in my house, but they're not mine They will be one day
I got a good collection, near 50 or more, all classics. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] a few new releases coming in though. the new atheist album, evile, etc, tera melos's new album
Sunn O)))'s Monoliths & Dimensions is beautifully packed.
Seconded. Also:
I would be more motivated to buy vinyls if they weren't so damn expensive new. I pick up used ones from the thrift store, and listen to them when I can. And I do have "In A Gadda Da Vida" by Iron Butterfly. So there.
