Only just started watching this after being recommened by a friend, i'm liking it so far but i have to admit the [sp]waking up scene[/sp] in the first episode is so similar to 28 days later.
the first issue of the comic series and the script for 28 days later were being written at the same time its pure coincidence
Anybody else think Andrea isn't all that bad anymore after this episode?
mine: shit
carol
awesome
everyone else
Dunno if this has been posted yet.
Just finished watching the last episode, I gotta say this is by far my favorite tv serie ever. I just wonder why Shane had to be such an idiot, and I wonder why Rick barked at everyone like that. At least he isn't bitching at everyone like Carol was. I wonder why everyone hates Carol though.

Here's why I hate Carol: "My daughter is out there!" - Okay, let us review WHY your daughter is out there, because when the herd appeared you left her on her own while Lori had to hold you and keep you from panicking! When Lori looks like the rational one compared to you, you are a fucking waste! Next, she never kicks ass on a walker. Remember how her husband used to beat the crap out of her? She could take that shit out on walkers all day long, yet she just lets others(including women) do the work. Finally, she needed Andrea to save her, ANDREA! When your stupid actions turn Andrea into a martyr, you are a fucking waste! Otherwise, she's okay I guess.

If she died I would have no qualms, plus she stands as a testament to their failure.
Can someone make a GIF of the part where Rick is[sp]escaping the barn in the finale and he shoots 5 or 6 walkers in a row.[/sp]?
Couldn't get a small enough GIF file size (14.3 MB at best quality). Enjoy a WebM. [vid]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9695484/rick_aimbot.webmvp8.webm[/vid]

[vid]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9695484/rick_aimbot.webmvp8.webm[/vid]
More like a bottomless revolver cylinder hack. Although it seems they cleverly managed/attempted to avoid that impression, because he shoots 5 zombies while under the tank, then nearly kills himself off with the sixth bullet.
Are you talking about in that scene? He's not using his revolver in that scene.
This show has always had a problem with guns. From recoil to muzzle flashes to ammo capacity; they are always not quite right.
Are you talking about in that scene? He's not using his revolver in that scene.
I'm not talking about that scene though, I'm talking about every time any of the cast uses a gun. Also, how particularly convenient that a dead soldier always has a fully loaded pistol on him, I mean surely a dead soldier has no means to defend himself, right? [editline]28th March 2012[/editline]
This show has always had a problem with guns. In that gif animation up there Rick flails his arms all over the place by shooting a pistol, while they have no problem keeping a revolver, shotgun or even that sniper rifle steady.
The show isn't about guns though, so there's really no point in complaining :/
The show isn't about guns though, so there's really no point in complaining :/
That's really a lousy argument.
Complaining about the gun capacity is like complaining there are zombies in it, it's not realistic but you still enjoy it, just think of it as an alternate universe where certain guns have a greater ammo capacity, damn people don't use their imagination anymore, they have to nitpick everything.
when S3 will be available to download?
when S3 will be available to download?
Next Fall.
Next Fall.
sucks
when S3 will be available to download?
they haven't even filmed it yet.

Sure it seems nitpicky, but it's right for an actual cause for concern. Because in a show where everything is supposed to be like real life, except with zombies added to the mix, AND to assume the show would use weaponry to fight off the zombies, the way guns are played just make them look retarded. Personally, I'm not too bothered by it, but still. It just looks silly. If you're not gonna have realism, at least have believability.
Yea exactly I mean its hard not to notice especialy when Herschel fire like 30 rounds from his shotgun before reloading.
Yea exactly I mean its hard not to notice especialy when Herschel fire like 30 rounds from his shotgun before reloading.
From what I recall he always stopped firing after 6-8 shots and put his shotgun in a position where it would be more comfortable to reload. Reloading off-screen.
S2 spoiler [sp]I was so fucking pissed when Andrea shot Daryl when she thought he was a zombie. I thought he died.[/sp]
I'm really hoping S3 will have more flashbacks. Personally, I think it'd be interesting to see what happened before the infection gradually began to take full hold. Maybe an episode explaining how the original band of survivors met up?

there is an episode where rick meets them but not an episode where the group before rick meets up
They need to do good flashbacks with character development. Take Lost for example. Fantastic characters and that's mostly due to flashbacks. TWD has none of that.
ammo capacity
Movies never get that right, I thought that was a given by now.
