Rick hiding behind the zombie when they were trying to leave Randall behind and shane threw that wrench was kind of the same concept
Not really. The original question was about using a suit of armor(Star Wars or otherwise) to allow you to walk amongst zombies safely because they won't pay attention to you. This is very different because merely hiding protects you, sure, but it does not allow you to DO anything. If you can freely roam around in the middle of a herd of zombies imagine what you could accomplish. You could gather supplies that other survivors have to pass on because it's not safe for them. You could make your base camp in the middle of a zombie area and basically use them as a barrier to protect you from other potentially violent groups of survivors.
Whelp, watched some season 2. [sp]I officially no longer give a single shit about what happens to Shane. You ungodly asshole[/sp]
How far have you gotten
How far have you gotten
First 3 episodes, [sp]Carl's had his operation and I literally just found out that Shane managed to escape by shooting Otis and leaving him to die[/sp].
[sp]If your grandpa dies because he's old, he becomes a zombie. If someone dies in a car accident, he becomes a zombie. If someone dies from AIDS or whatever else, he becomes a zombie. if you don't see how that's a big deal, you may need to think a little bit more [/sp]
And makes everyone immune to [sp]bites[/sp]... so right, other than being a minor inconvenience when dealing with corpses, what's the problem again ?
Words
That's really well put, sums up all of my problems with this show aswell, especially on those last episodes.
And makes everyone immune to [sp]bites[/sp]... so right, other than being a minor inconvenience when dealing with corpses, what's the problem again ?
I see that no zombie would ever come after you
I see that no zombie would ever come after you
My scenario doesn't include bad writing where i'd trip over a rock and fall flat on the floor, where the zombie would eat me and tear me apart with his magic strength.
yep missed my point completely
And makes everyone immune to [sp]bites[/sp]... so right, other than being a minor inconvenience when dealing with corpses, what's the problem again ?
So...being eaten alive by zombies is not something to worry about? [sp]even if you're immune it still hurts a lot to get eaten alive.[/sp]
Ok, picture this. A man has a heart attack, alone at home. A couple of friends were coming for a visit. They see his body lying on the floor, and break into the house to help him, but get bitten in the process. That's already 3 zombies What I mean is that pretty much every death would become 2; you'd see people getting attacked because they didn't know if a man was a zombie or just sick, and you'd see random killings because someone thought another person was one, when he actually wasn't. Cancer patients would come back to life and infect their doctor/nurse. Firefighters would get bitten while trying to save people. Not to mention, they take some time to become walkers. Just imagine a war, not everyone who dies in one gets shot in the head. Even if everyone knew about the disease already, the soldiers wouldn't have time to burn every body/wouldn't have ammo to shoot everyone again. You'd see random walkers, wandering into nearby villages, infecting and eating everyone. Everything that involved death would become a disaster, and everything that risked your life would be an even bigger threat, and not only to you.

Problem is, you're assuming everyone would be stupid like in the show, which isn't the fucking case, obviously, otherwise the human race would't have survived it's early years.
They get bitten... and ? it's 3 against 1, they could easily take him down.
He'd surely manage to bite/scratch at least one of them also, it's 2 against 1
Which is a matter of numbers and adaptation, the zombies might get everyone by surprise first, but the whole thing could be put back into control again.
in control? yes normal, as it is today? never
Then don't wage a fucking war in the face of an obvious crisis?
joke of the year right here
i'm too lazy to read the last few pages, what are you going on about? if people knew about zombies, they would obviously learn eventually to do headshots. and military would adapt it as default shooting style or something (see season 1, episode 6).
I'd love to see hoodoo456 give his opinion [editline]6th April 2012[/editline]
i'm too lazy to read the last few pages, what are you going on about? if people knew about zombies, they would obviously learn eventually to do headshots. and military would adapt it as default shooting style or something (see season 1, episode 6).
except there aren't guns everywhere
I'd love to see hoodoo456 give his opinion [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] except there aren't guns everywhere
gun stores and military stations guns blazing, derp
what I'm trying to say isn't that it's never going to be controlled, just that it's never going to be normal again. sure, everything would be relatively safe, but much worse than it is now. also, I don't think gun stores exist everywhere

I watched both seasons in the span of a week and can't wait for season 3. One thing though, [sp]what ever happened to the neighbour and his kid from the first episode?[/sp]
I'd love to see hoodoo456 give his opinion [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] except there aren't guns everywhere
Opinion on what?
you're rating me dumb everytime, yet you haven't said why you think that [sp]everyone being infected[/sp] isn't that big of a threat
you're rating me dumb everytime, yet you haven't said why you think that [sp]everyone being infected[/sp] isn't that big of a threat
[sp]When most of the population is infected and eating other people its kind of a big threat[/sp]
thats not what I meant whatever
ZOMBIES NEVER EXISTED IN THE TWD UNIVERSES FICTION, IT IS WHY THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE OR WHAT TO CALL THEM.
Generally in most zombie universes, zombies don't exist in their fiction.
Generally in most zombie universes, zombies don't exist in their fiction.
There are exceptions though. However... often in those situations it's a matter of slow zombies existing in their fiction, but not fast ones :v:
[sp] Simple. one of your group/community dies, shove a sharp object into the side of their head and wiggle it around a bit to destroy the brain.[/sp]
my point still stands
There are exceptions though. However... often in those situations it's a matter of slow zombies existing in their fiction, but not fast ones :v:
I'm even sure if you can speak of slow zombies in TWD. Those things can MOVE when they're chasing someone!
Is that what we're going to do while we wait for the next season? We're just going to argue the whole time?
yes
I ordered the 1st compendium of comics which I intended to read over the summer but its sort of lost in the post :(
