Flu* [editline]12:40PM[/editline] And it's all bullshit.

My opinion? Swine Fail. The media just jumped on this flu because it gives them something to report. Every single day. :/ What most people realize is that MILLIONS die in the US from the REGULAR seasonal flu every year, yet nobody is worried about that one. Not that I don't respect the fact that this thing could mutate and spread amazingly fast, because I do. It's just that everyone's paranoid about it. Get the shot. (Although I believe the government did a crappy job manufacturing too little vaccine and saying ITS READY ITS READY GO GET IT)
You dumb shits. Read my post:
Yet another person who doesn't get why people are so cautious about it. It has pandemic potential. This means it can spread extremely easily because people have no immunity to it. Imagine if 1/3 of the population had swine flu at any one time because it were allowed to spread, it would fucking decimate the economy and anyone who thinks all the swine flu stuff is hype is a retard. Sure it may not kill you but it sure can do serious damage to civilisation and put us back in an even deeper recession than we just left. How likely it is to kill you is irrelevant. Even if the chance of death is extremely low the exponential spreading pattern would mean millions would die anyway.
Question: if I had this swine flu and got better, will vaccine do anything?
Question: if I had this swine flu and got better, will vaccine do anything?
The vaccine wouldnt do anything, since you already have immunity.
You don't really get how vaccines work do you
I do know how they work. I know the biochemistry behind them because I learned about it in the bio course in college. Also, getting 'sick' is partly the body's immune reaction to an antigen, alive or not. But hey, I won't defend myself, because trying to do so on the Internet never works.
It's just a flu. Nothing more, nothing less.
the flu is full of obama's mind control nanorobots that will take over your mind and force you to follow his communist agenda

(Although I believe the government did a crappy job manufacturing too little vaccine and saying ITS READY ITS READY GO GET IT)
Seasonal flu is much easier to control. Swine flu is very hard to control. That is why people should get the vaccine and stop going to work and school sick because they're hardass enough not to get swine flu or some shit. If you're sick, stay home. I thought that the CDC telling people not to go out sick would be enough, but apparently the word of an epidemiologist or an infectious disease doctor isn't as good as your gut intuition.
It's cured with BACON!!! Which is awesome. :v:
I took the injection today. I'm still alive. Altough it's still scary as shit, I saw that vid about that cheerleader who no longer can walk normally. It was on my mother's initiative, supposedly I'm in the most concerned group (young people, 25-0) and I gotta say it's nothing serious. My arm hurts but that's it. However, if you were to get a fever from the vaccine it means you're (were) most likely to get it. But what's more serious is how the flu works. It's so brand new we actually have to inject ourselves several times during our lifetime to stay immune. Also if you're still having doubts, check out Norway.
The vaccine wouldnt do anything, since you already have immunity.
Actually you inject the flu into your body so that your immune system can build up a defense against it, that's how they work. And yeah, we have immunity. That's why we don't die instantly. It takes a few days, then you die. You fucking piss me off. On a more general note, I notice how more attention is given to several greater killers. Well guess what, there's always been causalties. Don't take the vaccine, you might not die. Take the vaccine, you might never ever be able to walk. Russian roulette lole.

That's why you would develop symptoms of the infection. I thought you were one of the people assuming that the vaccine was just some magic drug that killed disease.
Here's a very good video containing everything you might want to know about swine flu. Don't worry, it's quite objective.

He was talking about me, I had the flu in my body which means I now have defense against it. If I have defense to it, I am immune to it, that's basic english. We have an immune system and it doesn't mean we're immune to everything. Immune system = defense. Immunity = guaranteed sucessful defense. Now you should be pissed off, on, and all over the place because that's the best reply you can think of.
Some kid at a high school near me that's like, two blocks away? Is spreading the swine flu. And their shitty ass vaccine ain't working. Off-topic: Latest IGN fix, they now have a somewhat working AIDS vaccine, skip to 1:53. (I know late, and off-topic)
Swine Flu rocks. I have it.
I have the swines flu right now. I'm sick as a dog, strangely enough my cat is sticking by my side all day. Maybe he senses I'm vulnerable and is about to launch an attack of some sort. I have been popping Ricola cough drops, for general sore throat and cough relief. Then some cherry Nyquil every few hours, since of all cold medicines only Nyquil does the job for me. I have a couple of other medications on standby, plus I just downed a cup of coffee and some peanut butter cookies. You know you're sick when you finally see a hot girl picture in the 'hot girls' thread but look down at your penis and say "not tonight buddy". edit: no vaccine for me, I have to ride this out the old fashioned way
There was a girl in my class who had never taken a sick day in her life. We used to ask her if she ever got sick, and she used to reply "Hah! When pigs fly!" Well, Swine Flu.
i think the 'vaccine' is full of obama's mind control nano-thingies
The amputees are truly blessed. [editline]12:13AM[/editline] That's my arm btw [editline]85536 pl[/editline] Btw that isn't my arm I just got that off of google images.
The media kept treating the subject (pun unintended) as a very serious case, so don't be surprised if we've got people who, at their first cough, go around and scream ZOMG I GOT SWINE FLU IMMA DIE Sometimes you might even think people are bragging about having the flu
When my friend got it for all of a week he decided to be a smartass and wear a medical mask for a week after, purely to tell people he had it.

The swine flu shot is the government implanting a small tracking device into your bloodstream to know where you are. Big Brother is watching, he knows where you are, lock your doors. You hear that knocking? That's them about to breakdown your doors good to know you. This is why I do not want this swine flu shot, too bad my school is forcing all the students to get the government tracking device injected into them.
Swine flew.
Get Money Fuck Bitches Smoke Trees
I had H1N1 aka Swine Flu for an entire week and didn't go to the doctor or take any anti-biotics :smug:

I got mine because I work at a hospital and am required to. Probably wouldn't have if I wasn't forced.
My best friend is hypocondriac. So he has swine flu. :buddy:

I've been constantly sick for the past 2 months, mild coughing and the such. Still haven't been absent from school. Also, I got the shot 2 weeks ago. Feeling fine. The flu itself is as "harmless" as a normal flu, but the possible complications with breathing apparatuses are a problem asthmatics like me. So that's why I got the shot. And I don't give a damn if I get some PTSD or something from the shot. Makes life more interesting.
I'm not getting this ABSOLUTE bullshit. First of all, there was a suspicion going on that it raised your chance to die of heart failure by 64%, and second of all, it caused you to be vulnerable to the normal flu. My lungs feel wierd. OMG WINE FLU IMA DIE
