Season 2 of The Killing starts tonight on AMC, so I thought I'd make a thread. I'm going to add pictures and a plot summary to the OP in a little while. The Killing is a murder mystery show on AMC. Unlike CSI and other crime shows, this isn't one murder per episode. The Killing is all based on a single murder. As such, character development is better(for the victim's family and the suspects), and it is much easier to invest in and remember the story. The Killing is just about as good as Breaking Bad(in my opinion), as far as acting and plot development goes. I'm excited for the new season, and if you enjoy Breaking Bad, Mad Men, or any crime show I'd highly recommend this.
While it seemed to take a long time for the plot to get moving, I found The Killing to be very enjoyable, and I am really looking forward to see how season 2 will work out!
It was a bit slow, but I liked that. Reminds me Twin Peaks. But seriously [sp]fuck last 10 minutes. Fantastic twist ruined by last 10 minutes. No thanks[/sp]
Fucking awful show, can't believe that they cancelled Rubicon for this.
Fucking awful show, can't believe that they cancelled Rubicon for this.
First of all, just like TWD, why do you insist on posting here when you clearly have no intent other than to insult it? Second of all, in my opinion it's an amazing show. Dare I say on par with BB.
Because it's a discussion board.
Well I'd like to know why you say it's awful. You gave no explanation whatsoever. So they canceled a show you like, that doesn't automatically make whatever replaces it a bad show.
Poor writing, bland characters, and a truly truly awful finale.
Poor writing, bland characters, and a truly truly awful finale.
I thought the finale was pretty good. I don't see any major issues with the writing. And very few of the main characters are bland. All my opinion of course.
Finally watched the premier. I honestly am excited to see how this season plays out. [sp]I feel bad for Holder though, he realizes he was being played, and the only person he can turn to to talk about it won't answer the phone or even open the door for him[/sp]
I knew I saw [sp]Jack reading the same comic last week.[/sp]
The whole Mitch side story is stupid, I am however, very interested in [sp]Yanik being involved in Rosie's murder[/sp]
I loved season 1, hands down one of my favourite TV shows. I picked up them all the episodes and watched it all in the same day. Loved every minute of it I had no idea they made a second season, I'll have to watch the premier later.

Oh snap, its been airing for a week. Can't wait to watch the episodes
The whole Mitch side story is stupid, I am however, very interested in [sp]Yanik being involved in Rosie's murder[/sp]
With Mitch (prediction)[sp]constantly staring at the pool I think she left to go drown herself(how Rosie died). She wanted to leave so her husband or her sons would not find her in the bathroom. That's what I assumed.[/sp]

She left her family to suffer alone when they needed her.[/sp]
Just watched all 3 episodes in one sitting. Holy crap that was so good. I honestly never thought the [sp]Russian Mafia[/sp] killed Rosie, or at least was involve.
I must've missed something, but who is [sp] David Rainer[/sp]. Is that the [sp]mayor[/sp]?
I must've missed something, but who is [sp] David Rainer[/sp]. Is that the [sp]mayor[/sp]?
As far as I know he hasn't been introduced to the show yet.
After this ep, I'm not even sure whats going on anymore.
After this ep, I'm not even sure whats going on anymore.
Well they basically decided to [sp]go back to the casino, because they had no other leads. They were still peeking around after being told to stay away several times. The Indians seem to know something about the murder they don't want the detectives to know.[/sp]

The same dude who had an affair with Mitch's sister through Beau Soleil. Thus she came into contact with Rosie through the same agency.[/sp]

The one thing I hated about Sunday's episode, and the preview for the next was [sp]Just because it is Indian owned land, does not mean the laws of the United States are thrown out the window. You cannot unlawfully arrest a cop just because you don't want him snooping around, and you most certainly cannot hit one and beat him to a pulp.[/sp]
Nobody ever said [sp]what they did was legal.[/sp]
[sp]I meant in the aspect that Holder and Linden would have known what they were doing was illegal, which I am assuming is what is going to force the new Lt. to take action.[/sp]
Saw the finale and I did not see that coming.
Saw the finale and I did not see that coming.
I had [sp]suspected them both previously. I knew Jamie would be the suspect weeks ago, didn't know they'd actually have him turn out to be the killer. Throughout the series I also thought Terry had a secret and was hiding something. I always brushed her off as a suspect because I didn't think she had a motive.[/sp]
I watched the very first episode but couldn't help just constantly seeing similarities to Twin Peaks. Especially how [sp]the mother finds out her daughter is dead because she's on the phone to the father when he finds out[/sp]
