I wonder what Yutani corporation is up to.
Predators...that is all. On a related note I recently found the Alien novel based on the film, It kinda has the alien move around like a octopus emerging from small tight spaces, oh and the other difference is the alien appears to be violently humping Lambert (For some reason the book has the death in reverse order, chick dies then guy dies for that scene)
He filmed this in Iceland. Look it up.
He also filmed part of it in Wadi rum, Jordan. Looks more like there than iceland. (I've been there, it's awesome).
I don't like the space suits, I don't know it's just something about them that makes them look tacky.
He filmed this in Iceland. Look it up.
He filmed it in the homeland? Sweet.
I don't like the space suits, I don't know it's just something about them that makes them look tacky.
Well, this is several decades before Alien, so the technology isn't quite as good as it should be, hence the (I don't know what you have against them, I think they look great) "tacky" look?
That's a shitty statement though, because the Nostromo space suits from Alien look worse/less advanced than the ones in Prometheus.
That's a shitty statement though, because the Nostromo space suits from Alien look worse/less advanced than the ones in Prometheus.
Yeah, it bugs me how these people have some much more advanced looking tech compared to Alien. But that's just the modern shine I guess....
Well the Prometheus is like a scientific research ship so their equipment is gonna be top of the line whereas the Nostromo was like a corporate mining vessel so their stuff was probably as cheap as possible therefore the difference isn't so unbelievable although ultimately who cares.
Yeah, the Nostromo and its crew were supposed to be grungy, not high tech. Not only that but it was planned to be a 'capture and return' mission all along so there was no need to waste a good ship and equipment and crew on that mission.
I still can't explain for my dislike of them, I guess every once in a while you see something that just doesn't work for you aesthetically.
I dislike that they look like they have massive bubbles on their heads. It just looks kind of silly.
I dislike that they look like they have massive bubbles on their heads. It just looks kind of silly.
It's hardly any different from current astronaut helmets. I'd rather have something that looks realistic/not far off than something that's clearly not feasible.
just saw the new TV commercial. looks effing amazing. there's also a split-second shot of what I'm guessing is a Space Jockey that we haven't seen before.
new tv commercial, niglets also, i don't mean to be threadhijacking, but i hope the OP is updating with all this shit. edit: i guess media tags don't work on private links? lame.
Nope. These new videos give too much away, I'm just putting that first trailer in OP. Also you're bad at media tags
the wonder con footage has additional clips. [sp] I think I see a facehugger around 54 seconds[/sp]
New TV spot just played during Mad Men. Nothing new near as I can tell, but it was nice. That scene of Prometheus landing was beautiful.
the wonder con footage has additional clips. [sp] I think I see a facehugger around 54 seconds[/sp]
no no no no no no NO THERE ARE NO ALIENS IN THIS MOVIE STOP SAYING THERE ARE /FUCK
That, or Ridley Scott's a big liar.
I'm more along the lines xenomorphs don't show up ,but are mentioned or seen as drawings/craving etc
Nope. These new videos give too much away, I'm just putting that first trailer in OP. Listen to how he says 'rated'.
"This film is not yet ratHED"
the wonder con footage has additional clips. [sp] I think I see a facehugger around 54 seconds[/sp]
Only thing I've seen is a [sp]chest burster type creature[/sp] that's been shown before in a few clips.
the wonder con footage has additional clips. [sp] I think I see a facehugger around 54 seconds[/sp]
[sp]That guy's eye really REALLY creeped me out.[/sp]
why are you spoiler tagging the stuff from trailers
Well, some people refuse to watch them because trailers sometimes reveal a lot from the movie
[sp]That guy's eye really REALLY creeped me out.[/sp]
I'm looking at it in slow motion now and it looks like some type of worm is burrowing into his eye. It's probably used to control minds or some shit.
Well, some people refuse to watch them because trailers sometimes reveal a lot from the movie
The European trailer even gives away some plot points that the US trailer didn't have.
Holy fucking shit information OVERLOAD. Empire magazine article scans here: http://www.prometheusnews.net/movie/exclusive-empire-magazine/
