You Americans need to get over your obsession with v8s. Efficiency is the way of the future.
You're right. I need to put twin turbos on my v8 to make it more efficient. Thank you for the suggestion. 800-1000 hp doesn't sound bad at all....
Why do you think motorsports is moving away from NA v8? WRC enforces a 1.6l limit even. YOu can go very very fast without a v8 and use less fuel doing it. [editline]15th January 2015[/editline] V8s are old shit.
Yeah, but you can go faster with a v8. i like how there is "automotive addicts" lounge and then just "addicts" lounge
i like how there is "automotive addicts" lounge and then just "addicts" lounge
The addiction is quite similar really, I've spent $50 attempting to change my dash lights to amber with a mix of LEDs and a bunch of replacements because the first set was garbage.. Well at least my $60 rear swaybar endlinks are here and I can finally get the suspension sorted on my Integra. Now I'm thinking I'll need to rebuild my power steering pump, unhook my A/C, do a timing belt or replace the distributor because something else is starting to sound sickly under the hood. Hopefully my 158k horribly abused usually reliable as hell motor doesn't want to quit on me instead... I wish I just had like 2-3 grand to tear it out and get it built and prepped to throw some actually reliable nice boost at. However my $450 168k Civic has insanely better compression and seems to just be a noisy DPFI D series that runs far better...

So today I took in this beauty, from a cliënt. This thing is lovely. Looks very modest for what it is. It's been tuned by MTM, and currently produces 700hp. Took it for a run on the Autobahn, with the cliënt ofcourse, and it does 0-200km/h in around 9 seconds. Wet weather though, and very windy today here in the Netherlands and Germany so we didn't do anything irresponsible. [editline]15th January 2015[/editline] I'll have it for 2 weeks, and then it's going to be shipped off to Norway. Won't be driving it much though, since the contracts have already been signed and I don't want to risk damaging it. [editline]15th January 2015[/editline] Ah I just googled. Looks like the cliënt embellished a bit. According to MTM themselves it does 0-200km/h in 10,8 seconds, and it produces 712hp.

I almost want to rig something like that up for my light bar but I'm too dumb and lazy to do so. (like cut the grille so its hinged on the light bar or something) Oh and on that note, this came the other day. I forget if I posted it. I was about to take a picture of the Subaru covered in snow, but then I got snow on the phone screen and it stopped registering my touches :|
A8? Why is it being shipped up here?
Close. It's a 2012 S8. It's being shipped up to Norway since a Norwegian cliënt bought it from me. Norway will be enriched with a 712hp S8 on the 30th of january.

Saw a 2014 WRX yesterday... made me want to get a WRX. I didnt know they were so large for a sedan
im in love with my 2005 mazda 3 i got with my own hard earned money. it has 220K miles but the people who owned it before took really good care of it and it was never in tropical or snow covered areas. I got it for 3.3K with the car being worth 5.3K~. all it needs are new tires eventually, and brakes. The guy who owned it put that plastidip shit on each silver emblems so i had to use a little amount of brake cleaner on a rag to rub it off, but the car has no accidents filed with it and has no damage. The best part about it is that the guy who owned it before put one of those aftermarket mufflers that make it sound much more sporty and not like a giant fart like most dickheads do around here. I just love sporty looking hatchbacks soooo much. This is what mine looks like, plus i got 80$ off the sales tax due to the mileage. it also has 25 combined mpg, with it only costing me 25$ at the pump to completely fill, shits the bomb.
I had a dream the other day that I bought a new car. The car was lime green and some kind of mix between a 69 charger and an awd Subaru. I took it offroadiing and drove it right up a ski mountain. It took everything like a champ and was pretty damn fast too. Shame it doesn't exist.
God I wish walmart's TLE department would just cease to exist here's a conversation I had with a friend who I've talked about before and who's car is quite possibly the shittiest piece of shit in the land Friend: Hey I got an air filter can you put it in my car walmart said it was the only thing my car needed it will fix all my problems Me:Sure but you got a lot more problems then the air filter Friend: but wal-mart said it would fix everything Me: walmart couldn't find there asshole with two hands and a flashlight an air filter is a good thing but it ain't gonna help shit for the lifter tick the shoddy torque converter the fact that your car pukes oil through the valve covers or the massive vacuum leak you have Friend: walmart didn't say anything about that Me:.....AAAAAAHHHHHH
It's not visible rust. Trust me. You're looking for the spots where the roof was welded to the quarter panels. Those are now gone. I assure you - your best bet is to leave it alone until you want to do some actual body work, because there is going to be. Vinyl tops are garbage and they turn the roof below them into garbage. That's a 70s thing. I'm just trying to help you out. If it looks ok now, leave it alone. It will just look worse. Here's a buddy of mine I meet up with who took the vinyl top off his dart. He also saw no rust.
Sorry if I came off as arrogant. The vinyl top is just irritating to look at because its split on both sides, a chunk is missing near the passenger side back seat's door, and the part where it goes around the back window is peeled up so far that it covers the bottom of the window. What do you think I should do if I were to be fully restoring the car? Like what would need done I mean. Or if there's some way of saving the vinyl top that's already on it, that's what I'd want to do.
Like he made it looks like this? Since walmart has been dominating the market for all in one stores for quite some time now, they have now implemented a plan to slowly raise prices, without a fear of direct competition. I called this out years ago, but nobody wanted to listen.
I find it funny how some people will go to Walmart instead of just googling what's wrong with their car
I only go to walmart for foodage and other random shit because it's less than a mile away from my house. The only automotive stuff I get from them is like cleaning stuff and other non-mission critical parts, like wiper blades.
I only go to Walmart for- oh wait I can't. There aren't any over here
I only go to Walmart for- oh wait I can't. There aren't any over here
I go there for everything grocery related. Or Sams Club. Same thing.
Are there any reasons not to buy a bluetooth ODB2 reader?
