Yeah. It was supposed to be destroyed and crashed into the ground during El Mañana. But Noodle was supposed to be dead and or in Hell and she's back, so I guess anything can happen. It also looks like the Boogey(Boogie?)man has taken Murdoc's soul or life. He's sitting in a catatonic state staring blankly at the wall.
probably not, the video is just a storyboard. Also, russel seems smaller did the toxic waste get out of his system?
Also Murdoc drove his car into a building and eight-balled both of 2-D's eyes and put him in a coma
And is still allowed to look over his coma-state body. Lovely. Also, if white eyes mean fearful or something and black eyes almost everything else, what does it mean if 2D has eight ball eyes in Demon Days cover art?
I dunno. I don't think there's that much subliminal meaning to it.
so is the band currently "all together" now or are is russel still missing (cos suposedly murdoc felt him getting closer everyday) also, how does murdoc keep saying the location is secret if at the end of melancholy hill video a bunch of submarines come a-float with him
Well Russel and Noodle were heading to the Beach as we last saw. I think Cyborg-Noodle, Murdoc, and 2-D were defending the Beach last and the real Noodle and Russel show up. It seems that they've left the beach and returned to their homes. Murdoc's probably been evicted, living with 2-D as seen in the Do Ya Thing video.

So I just stumbled across this for the first time in ages. Forgot all about this record. Dub reggae reworking of the first Gorillaz album. It's sick. http://open.spotify.com/album/0yPLNfI8WPJWFoJugr0KAv
[editline]22nd February 2012[/editline] Was broadcast on BBC Radio One this morning.
Fucking hell, Andre 3000 killed it.
I remember when I was 9-10 years old, and I had this old CD player with an alarm. I used to wake up every school morning with the first song of the Gorillaz album playing: Re-Hash. That was actually the first album I ever bought, after seeing 19-2000 and Clint Eastwood in the top 100 charts on TV. I have been a fan of Gorillaz ever since then, buying all their subsequent albums. My favourite album would have to be Demon Days, but I will forever have the nostalgia of the Gorillaz album. Is there any place I can pre-order the Converse shoes? Preferably worldwide shipping or New Zealand based?
Never mind they are out now. Got myself a pair.
I was looking forward to this track, and it's fine up until around 1.50, and then it goes downhill. Fast. I reckon it'd be pretty good if 2d finished it with another verse similar to the first two. Or if someone edited it so it finished before the other two mess everything up. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline] I've been listening to it on loop, and now I like it. I should have realised that would happen, since that's how it works with most Gorillaz songs I don't like the first time I hear them :v:
I have always liked Outkast, Andre was good in this and it was a great song IMO, Gorillaz never disappoint
I do think it should have ended with another 2d verse, it kind of ends a little abruptly.
I agree. I wanted more of 2-D but not gonna complain, really. Gonna try and buy the camo Chucks.
The andre 3000 bit was flawless though, you have to admit.

I think the song ends abruptly because it's not the full song it says this: " The full 12 minute version of 'DoYaThing' will be available here from 3 March, exclusively at Gorillaz.com." On the video but I don't know if that is official
guys, can anyone tell me what the purple and red converse has on it? and why does the camouflage converse look familiar
guys, can anyone tell me what the purple and red converse has on it? and why does the camouflage converse look familiar
The purple and red? The low-tops one? They're I think drawings of Phase-2 Gorillaz. (Demon Days) The camo looks familiar because it's from Phase 1 Gorillaz. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorillaz_(album)

Er...so I looked at the lowtops again, and I think they're actually based off of Phase 1 stuff, but I'm not entirely sure. They don't offer a "360" view of it like they do with the Camo, Ogre, and white and black shoe.
Pretty great interview about the track here. Looks like the 12 minute version is going to be very LCD Soundsystem, which is an extremely good thing.
I wish they had had cameras in the studio. It would've been interesting to see them just improving DoYaThing.
the Camo, Ogre, and white and black shoe.
what are these
Man that new song is amazing. Really looking forward to the video.
what are these
The different Chucks being sold. Click
The full leaked version.
Pretty darn cool. It sounds like they sort of tried to make three songs and ended up just playing all three back to back :v:
