digging that first photostudy
antler dude boy has a reeeaally long yet undefined subnasal ... dunno if this is "stylistic" or part of the character or whatever though
Do you have a ref for that one? Something seems a little off about it to me, I know it's the guy from Supernatural, I just can't find the image.
everything is off, for some reason it was very hard to get the proportions right, I just gave up. I am very clear on the mistakes tho.

Ah, alright. You're doing great and improving well, though.
I feel like the Antler-Boy's nose might be a little dark and desaturated for the reds you chose to paint it with, and it doesn't merge with the top of the bridge of his nose all that well. The jewels (or whatever those are), aren't exactly following the curves of his face very well based on the lighting of them and it sort-of makes them look like they're on their own layer and "flat", like an overlay over the depth of your image. It may be because the light source seems to be coming from the top right but then they're lit as if it's a very strong light with no ambient light from the direct right instead of it being angled up.
Chesty already mentioned the lack of the philtrum, and the pink of his lips seems to have spread too far up and makes it look like he's been rubbing in-between his upper lip and nose.
The eyes and nose are also angled like his face is more up-and-down, compared to the rest of the face, which is more angled in the way of the head.
Also, the darkness of his lower eye lid is kind-of confusing to me, I can't tell if he's wearing eyeliner or not (which can look good on many different characters, male or female, depending on a lot of things.)
Because of the lighter and more saturated tone of his face, it almost looks like you photoshopped his face onto the body, which I'm not actually accusing you of because I know that you painted it (and quite well, might I add!) It's just that his face looks disconnected because it's lighter and then the body is darker after it emerges from the shadow underneath his neck.
I like what you did with his hair and I think the antlers are an interesting element (love the beads), but the necklace has very little emphasis and I might have done something to make the feather stick out more so that the eye trails down, unless it was your intent to "hide" it in the composition, but leave it in plain sight, in which case you did that fairly well.
Overall, great work.
Oh, and for the fox/wolf with the antlers, I thing that its face is more of a profile, so I would have taken out the back eye. The whole piece has an interesting mood to it, though.
the wolf with the antlers has 3 eyes :]
thanks for the feedback.
Dayum Detlef, you're an amazing artist!
All your stuff looks wonderful.
The boy with antlers looks awesome though, but that may just be because I have a thing for deer-related characters.
whats with all the antlers lately
whats with all the antlers lately
Obviously some sort of antler fetish and the want for being penetrated by antlers.

Sounds kinky hmmm
TEEN DEER coming this month to MTV
Looking nice Detlef, but try to have more diversity with body types/ genders, challenge yourself!
I can't BELIEVE he altered this much in the final comic

Do you have the original for comparrison?
I'll post it later, im at school now.
But SERIOUSLY hes a control freak.
the new version just looks over saturated and too smooth. i dont know how much was in your final piece but comparatively your unfinished version was better
Most of the comments on that piece either consist of people not knowing that someone else did the art for this strip, complaining about the lack of 69 jokes, or shouting "NEW PET! NEW PET!!! :D:D:D!!~XD"
Yeah its too similar to the usual RA, I don't think people know it's drawn by someone else.
that still looks really awesome
what a dick move.
ok on the left is my original piece, and on the right is the altered version
sometimes the extra sharpness and contrast is alright but the saturation is horrible
