Please, just Ghostbusters 1, Ghostbusters 2 is just a remake with a new bad guy.
Yeah so? There both still enjoyable movies that I loved watching as a kid and still do to this day.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Four Lions (2010) Oh yeah. :pcgaming:
Four Lions (2010) Oh yeah. :pcgaming:
This movie is absolutely amazing.
And more people should know that it's worthy of being number 1 :smug:
The Andromeda Strain (1971) Great attention to detail and accurate science.
Four Lions (2010) Oh yeah. :pcgaming:
Sounds like fun, I should watch it sometime...
Sounds like fun, I should watch it sometime...
Conceptually it's controversial, but it's seriously one of the funniest I've seen in a while :3:
Conceptually it's controversial, but it's seriously one of the funniest I've seen in a while :3:
I never heard of it, but reading the plot it sounds like fun... I'll watch it and post about it on the other thread (rate the last movie you watched) :buddy:
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
Four Lions (2010) Oh yeah. :pcgaming:
I absolutely hated it, didn't find it funny at all. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] There must be something wrong with me because I seem to be the only one.
I absolutely hated it, didn't find it funny at all. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] There must be something wrong with me because I seem to be the only one.
Either you find it funny or offensive. Well done.
And finally: Army of Darkness (1992)
might not be top 250 worthy but i really liked... Big Fish (2003) I thought Tim Burton did an amazing job (I'm a bit of a fanboy, this is probably my favourite movie he has done though. I think tnbc is overrated, however, I still like it), the book is a series of short stories essentially which doesn't always work on screen but it did work in my opinion, and Ewan McGregor was fantastic.
How to Train Your Dragon (2010) I liked it.
Idiocracy I read the OP's list and didn't found this one. I'm on a phone, so no link to IMDB.
Hell's Angels (1930) Probably the best aerial war film ever made in the history of cinema. Given that Howard Hughes was the man behind it all, however, it's not surprising that it would be; he was infamous for his meticulous attention to detail. At the time, he had the largest private air force in the world- devoted entirely to this film. An armada of Fokker D.VIIs which were left over from the war were purchased and used during the filming sequences, along with SE5s and a couple of Sikorskys. The zeppelin sequence utilized some of the most advanced special effects methods the industry had to offer at the time. [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] Oh- and it was Jean Harlow's first major acting job (she got paid $100 a week, which was a lot of money back when she started working on the film in the middle of 1929).
A World Re-done (1996)
Stalker (1979) Such of a beautiful movie.
I'm going to have to get a hold of that [editline]26th May 2011[/editline]
The Andromeda Strain (1971) Great attention to detail and accurate science.
This too [editline]26th May 2011[/editline]
Der Untergang (2004)
I got that from my german friend, but there are no subtitles Fuck
Superman (1978) It's a landmark in all superhero movies. Every GOOD superhero movie director has looked to this movie for guidance on how to do it.
The Ten Commandments (1956) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049833/
Blood Diamond (2006) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450259/ This one because I have a thing for grueling africa situations, it describes perfectly how much life is spilled over material wealth.
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) If it wasn't for pixar's up (which someone should mention in this thread), this film would easily have taken best animated feature at the oscars. All around amazing movie, I've seen it at least 15 times and it hasn't gotten old. The soundtrack is also great.
