Hardly worth a thread, but it's cool. Very SH
What is worth a thread then? Is it wrong for someone to want some criticism more substantial than the passing glances you'd get in the "not worth a thread" thread? I mean, hell, someone makes a song or carves a pumpkin and it's worth a thread but a picture isn't? I honestly don't understand.
Not worth a thread but cool. Needs more detail, more vibrancy, more contrast to bring forth the mouth area. The anatomy looks absolutely boring on this, texture is cool. And it looks flat, especially around the back area. Also it's too monochrome, the greys and blacks could profit from being more redder and blackground ones a bit greener or browner. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] also no usage of depth or perspective on the leech what so ever. I just now(7 hours after seeing it for the first time) noticed that the penis is actually it's tail. Be more bold with the usage of air perspective. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] also lighting issues.

if you're not doing monochrome greys and blacks should never really be pure grey or black or white.

Furthermore I don't think a song or a pumpkin merit threads of their own. To make a thread you should have some semblance of a portfolio to show rather than one piece, and you should be at a comparatively high level so that people really enjoy your work. I mean, if you had a series of pieces like that, maybe in a couple of different mediums, then I'd say go for it. In the Creative Work thread, people will give you good feedback if it occurs to them. (Just my opinion of threadworthiness obviously, since you asked.)
so tired of people saying "not worth a thread" in the description it says "post your homemade noise and ugly drawings" and its not like making it a thread is hurting anyone in any way
...its not like making it a thread is hurting anyone in any way
MY ORGANS! WHY MUST THIS THREAD BE CREATED?! WHYYYYYYYY?! In all seriousness, I like the head/mouth area. The rest of it, not so much. The rest looks kind of rushed.
I feel like the mouth, as the emphasis of the painting, should be a bit brighter.

Not just a handful of standout pieces, but really good stuff most of the time. So making a thread for one thing can feel a bit like slapping a huge signature on it or something. I get why he posted this in a thread of it's own, but I'd say it would be viewed more in CW, from a critique point of view. It should really be called Creative Work That Doesn't Need A Thread Of Its Own
then i guess nothing in this section really needs a thread of it's own
