I'm a little bit nervous that Obama is still our President. Here's hoping he turns things around in his second term!
Bro, things have been turning around and are confirmed now. Constantly declining unemployment hurrah
Bro, things have been turning around and are confirmed now. Constantly declining unemployment hurrah
Woot!
-snip that's a rather shitty wikipedia page-
I've been waiting to ask this question for so long, I've searched Google and Wikipedia and others as much as I could. What did Bill Clinton do to have a surplus, and why can't we just do that?
Bill Clinton didn't do anything, the internet boom is what was successful. Ironically, what the liberals try to blame on Bush, was actually Clinton's fault. Clinton's expanding of the Community Reinvestment Act and repeal of (portions of) the Glass Steagall Act are the main causes of the recession.
My mom posted on my wall saying she's crying and that she's going to have a long talk with me when I get home. Apparently, I CAUSED OBAMA TO WIN. I helped, but shit...
everybody donate money to this man he won us the election at the sacrifice of his own mother gg
I'm not joking
I just wrote this facebook status because this is how I really feel. If you voted for Obama because you didn't want Romney as president, you lost. If you voted for Romney because you didn't want Obama as president, you also lost. Most people don't identify with either candidate on more than 50% of issues and yet one of them won. Congratulations, people of America, you have turned politics into a game of dogmatic bipartisanship, where millions of dollars that could go to people that need it ends up funding the campaigns of people who we really don't want in office. I ask you, take a minute and think - who really won, and who really lost? I voted for Obama because I knew the third parties would never win. But i'm really hoping in 4 years a push for educated votes is made.

When I said Obama she said "Alright then, if you were voting for that other guy I would refuse, but I like Obama".
As much as that aligns with what we like, I don't like how your mom would only help if it were who she liked.
I am pretty sure she was joking, funny she had three sons and one of my brothers is a die hard conservative, the other is a bleeding heart mega-liberal, and I turned out slightly left leaning but mostly center of the road politically.
But i'm really hoping in 4 years a push for educated votes is made.
Not going to happen so long as the primary system remains intact.
Not going to happen so long as the primary system remains intact.
I know. This blind, dogmatic bipartisanship is just terrible.
I'm sure unprecedented tax cuts and a stalemate war had nothing to do with it.
With our national debt, sure, but not with the housing bubble and/or bank failures. Also Obama has no room to talk, especially seeing as how he extended the Bush tax cuts and has been adding to the national debt with his deficit spending. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, the national debt is a long-term issue, but not a major short-term one.
I know. This blind, dogmatic bipartisanship is just terrible.
[t]http://mjcdn.motherjones.com/preset_16/obamasoci.jpg[/t] You don't say?
everybody donate money to this man he won us the election at the sacrifice of his own mother gg
I took an internet test and apparently was 85% in line with obama and 110% with ron paul
[t]http://mjcdn.motherjones.com/preset_16/obamasoci.jpg[/t] You don't say?
>Implying it's just the right.
[t]http://mjcdn.motherjones.com/preset_16/obamasoci.jpg[/t] You don't say?
I'm appalled at these types of people especially when they say "HURR DURR ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF OBAMA SOCIALISM COMMUNISM I'M GOING TO MOVE TO CANADA" Yeahhhhh, Canada is so much less socialist than the US :rolleye:
>Implying it's just the right.
Please post examples of the American left being terribly ignorant (aside from Facepunch posts from teenagers).

is flordia done counting yet
Please post examples of the American left being terribly ignorant (aside from Facepunch posts from teenagers).
Seeing as how a good chunk (if not the majority) of Obama's base are welfare dependents and/or stoners, how can you honestly claim that your side isn't ignorant? Don't get me wrong, there are crazy, ignorant, and bigoted people on both sides, but it's hardly as partisan as you try to make it out to be.
It seems pretty obvious that the left is far more ignorant than the right. You hear about "racist teabaggers" on the left-wing media all the time, because they don't want to make their own side look bad. Seeing as how Obama's base is drug-addled, welfare dependent, inner city "thugs"
WOW. I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously anymore. And here I was thinking you were a good debater. Maybe you forgot all the students who don't want their financial aid and classes cut, the gays/lesbians/bisexuals who want to be able to marry, the people who don't support an "America Fuck Yeah" approach to foreign policy, the people who think Romney is a dick who can't keep a straight opinion to save his life...
Yeah, except the main reason were in this now was because two wars that cost a trillion a year, and the fact that the revenue stream was cut by 600 billion because of the tax cuts.
According to Joe Biden, it's a "FIVE-HUNDRED TRILLION DOLLAR TAX CUT!"
Yeah, I edited that to make it less offensive. I apologize for using such an offensive phrase.
What do you make of the rest of the world (Except Isreal and Pakistan) wanting Obama in?
