I will update this as often as possible, if you'd like to see some sort of info put here, let me know. So who's planning on going? I managed to get tickets so I'll be attending Leeds!
Wow this is nice
Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon should alright for the headliners, not really fussed about Radiohead or Green Day although I think if they play mainly old stuff i'll be happy :P. Out of the Strong Rumours I reckon most we (me and ash) will be hoping for will be Muse and Pendulum. Definitely wouldn't mind MGMT, Fall Out Boy, The Who and Weezer. It's gunna be mint!
Not too fussed with going this year, 2007 was great, 2008 was pretty rubbish in every aspect apart from the lineup and the acts on the alternative stage, and the things that were bad I can only imagine being worse this summer (bad quiet sound, way too many people for too small a place, the 'riot' atmosphere getting too ingrained, etc.) Only reason I'd really get a day ticket is if NiN or Kraftwerk were playing and weren't anywhere else in the UK
Ticket prices have gone up to £175 this year (for the whole weekend). That's not stopping me trying to get tickets though.

Arctic Monkeys confirmed headliner. The rest will be out in a couple of hours.

I just don't really get the hype this year. Prodigy aren't even headlining after how long they've been off that yellow poster.
I got my ticket straight away at 7pm without looking at the line-up. Looks aright actually, but nothing like last year. I'm hoping it'll keep getting better from here on, and not have more crap bands like Fallout Boy and Funeral For A Friend. What the hell are they doing there anyway?!
Mine were a bit tricky to get, had to follow a backdoor link. Managed to get 2. The only trouble is, I'm the only one who actually managed to get tickets so as it stands, it's only me and a mate going at the moment but I'm sure the rest will be able to sort something out.
anymore tickets to reading still?
I got my tickets. Just got my confirmation email through! Cannot bloody wait!
anymore tickets to reading still?
Nah, tickets sold out on seetickets at about 10ish. Everywhere else was gone by 8. Confirmation e-mail just arrived :D
Arctic Monkeys, yum :>

It pretty well buggers me off to read Facebook at people that bought 4 tickets and almost immediately started posting messages to the tone of selling them for £250-300+ Even if I'm not going, that's bad juju
Umm where did the dance tent go? indiefagfest. I saw metallica and iron maiden there. i got my goddamn monies worth.

What I'm gonna do is take them with me, when someone goes to buy a ticket from a tout, I'll join in the conversation and sell the ticket for £200 and steal the tout's customer. I'll still be making a little bit of profit but that's not the point, I just can't wait to see the look the touts give me :D
This looks awful except for Prodigy.
Not a single metal band?
Not a single metal band?
Why would there be? People in Britain looking for metal go to Download and/or Bloodstock.
Well just look at last year's lineup...
Point still stands.
Point still stands.
you obviously know nothing about reading festival...
i managed to get 2 tickets for me and a friend and then another friend got 2 tickets one of which he plans on selling for £200+ and spending the profit on weed. This is reading i'm talking about
I fucking love Deftones. I've wanted to see them for ages. But overall I'm still glad I'm going to Download.
you obviously know nothing about reading festival...
Who goes to Reading for metal
Must say apart from Placebo, Prodigy and Radiohead, it does suck a bit :(
I agree completely. Seriosuly, how did they end up with vampire fucking weekend and the yeah yeah yeahs?
