Step 1: Put one end of the para chord through the stock Step 2: Tie it on the stock like this and double knot it. Move the knot on the other side of the stock. make sure to leave 3 inches or more chord at the end of the knot (refer to Step 9) Step 3: Bring the chord back around like so. Step 4: Follow the picture Step 5: Step 6: Loop it around the top again and you did one revolution. You can do as many as you want I usually do 3 or 4. Step 7: After that weaving wrap start wrapping the top up. Go as long as you want and make sure you tighten it up the wrap every revolution. Step 8: Now you doing the same thing through steps 3-6 but just ending it. Step 9: This is how you should end it. Double knot it and your good. Step 10: Now we have excess chord; This is where the knife and lighter come in. Step 11: Cut at 1/2 inch or less with your cutting device and melt the para chord to the knot for extra strength. Step 12: Crispy! (little melted here and there but it's good) And your done! Advantages to this are: ~ Stops the "ping" noises ~ Comfortable to aim ~ Stylish! Edit: Make sure the soak the para chord on the stock with water to make it tighter.
That's hot. [editline]08:28PM[/editline] Wait, what causes the ping noise?
The sling ring thing tapping the stock makes a ping noise.
^ Pretty much what Kawaii posted
The sling ring thing tapping the stock makes a ping noise.
Ah. The ring mount on my AK is on the receiver, and it doesn't move much when it's pushed down.
Ok, so let me ask this: What is the point of doing this? Looks, or does it make it more comfortable or something?
I don't know dude, but it looks pretty bitchin'
That it does. I'm not ragging on it or anything, I just generally want to know.
Ok, so let me ask this: What is the point of doing this? Looks, or does it make it more comfortable or something?
Wrapping the metal stocks of my guns is a tradition for me in winter. It saves your face from freezing onto the stock. Your moisture + freezing metal stock = face frozen to stock like a tongue stuck to a flagpole.
Everytime you post your AK, it makes me want to buy the full sized AKS-74 instead of the 74u
Every time I see an AK on here, I become tempted to get one.
Every time I see an AK on here, I become tempted to get one.
Same here, should I get a full metal/wood version or should I get an M4? It's so hard to choose.
I'm trying to get an Aug, I love, repeat love the ARs, but they're too overdone.
What is the point of wrapping the stock with para-cord?
Mmmm I'm thinking this: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5860
Avoid EBB. It's just a gimmick that doesn't really add any kick.
Avoid EBB. It's just a gimmick that doesn't really add any kick.
I'm not to worried about recoil, although it'd be awesome, I just like it for the aesthetics.
Keep in mind it has more parts to go wrong.
Keep in mind it has more parts to go wrong.
True, but I take care of my guns. I lube after use and make sure things are kosher before I use them. Sure, everything eventually fails, but if you take good care of your gun it'll take good care of you.
Every time I see an AK on here, I become tempted to get one.
Go on Red Alliance and cum buckets
What is the point of wrapping the stock with para-cord?
The only real advantage I can imagine is not having to put your cheek on cold metal in the winter.
Go on Red Alliance and cum buckets
Half of me wants an AK, the other half percieves them as inferior to most Modern rifles.
Half of me wants an AK, the other half percieves them as inferior to most Modern rifles.
Same here.. I would like to buy M4 but always when I see that sexy AK I want Ak..
http://www.crw-airsoft.com/rk-02-aks-74-by-kalashdboy-363-p.asp Nice, cheap AKS-74. Too bad it doesn't really have the orange tip, and no wood.
I'd get the CYMA AKM or Dboy 74.
Awesome thread. Ill definitely be doing this. Rated hearts <3
Man now I'm torn between the G36 I was aaving for and getting an AK :¬|
The AK tempts us all.
Quick question about the hammer and sickle on your gun. Did you just take the pin off an Ushanka, drill a hole in the handguard, and put the pin in the handguard?
