American Psycho 8/10. Acting by Bale was incredible. The fact that Bale's character also served as a narrator in the movie, was very well executed.
9.5/10
Super - 6/10... It was alright, I guess. A bit overly gory just for the sake of being gory and most of the humor fell flat.
ah man no way, Super was amazing. Super and Drive were my favourite movies of the year.
Three Colors: Blue - 9/10 Superb, the sort of movie you get lost in. It (probably purposefully)lacked this sort of warmth that made me fall in love with Red, but this is still every bit as beautiful and compelling. It's amazing how Kieslowski manages to make every scene, every shot, every line of dialogue, every bit of music so essential to the movie as a whole without having it come off as cold and mechanical(a problem many of David Cronenberg's films suffer from, as well as Ridley Scott's on occasion), something not many directors whose work I'm familiar with are capable of pulling off. If White is as brilliant as Red and Blue, this may very well become my favorite movie trilogy.
I could give a shit about the other stuff, but this? The Dawn of Man segment was fucking awesomely done jesus christ. How could you have possible have gotten tired of it?
I could literally watch a full length feature film about monkeys if Stanley Kubrick directed it.
Not sure if this counts as a "movie" but we just watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and were caught completely off-guard by the tearjerker ending. Damn. 9/10 Also watched Super Troopers before that. 10/10
must have been pretty baked when you watched super troopers... also that tearjerker ending of Dr. Horrible caught me totally off guard as well. SUPER sudden. was well done, though
ah man no way, Super was amazing. Super and Drive were my favourite movies of the year.
I didn't really like it. It wasn't really funny, cool or dramatic. It was just kind of there.
Chronicle 8/10
I found the ending a bit dull. But I like the part where they tries to discover their powers. Good movie, but I wouldn't give it a 8, more like a 7 or 6. Bad CGI, but then, its a low budget movie. AND THE BLOODY TRAILER IS A GIVE AWAY.
If White is as brilliant as Red and Blue, this may very well become my favorite movie trilogy.
White is a LOT different to the other two. It's sillier and less expressive in terms of colour, but I think it's worthy.
ah man no way, Super was amazing. Super and Drive were my favourite movies of the year.
Wow, I wouldn't even put it anywhere near the same league as Drive.
Zodiac - 8/10
Super - 6/10... It was alright, I guess. A bit overly gory just for the sake of being gory and most of the humor fell flat.
Super? you mean super 8?

127 Hours 9/10 Fourth time I watched it. One of my favourite scenes ever Spoilers if you haven't watched the movie hrrrgh
I found Super sometimes unnecessarily violent and honestly didn't know if I should have laughed or cried. It seemed to me a black comedy with a twisted sense of humor, that I imagine only a limited audience can really appreciate. The story was pretty interesting. Maybe it was too much on the simple side. I can understand how people can really like it, but it's not my kind of film.
50/50 so yeah I give it a 45/50 Fucking tears were had
the hunt for red october, 8/10. i absolutely loved this movie. excellent, classic thriller. had me on edge for the last half of the movie.
Chronicle - 7.5/10
Seven Samurai - 9/10 Honestly, it's pretty hard for me to rate this movie. I normally don't watch movies this long, or this old [sp]or this asian[/sp]. I like how every character (mainly the samurai) has a very defined personality, and how it could change from a happy, light-hearted film to a serious movie. The flag scene was really touching (seriously, I almost cried in that part).
i don't want dead space the movie. by itself it's really good, don't need a movie. it's probably better by itself as a video game. really when i watch movies like this i just end up playing games like it. and apparently event horizon kinda sucks. no, i meant to say towards the end. it really sort of went into overdrive and pulled a sunshine [sp]everyone who's left dies fast and emptily[/sp] the beginning is incredible, i'm talking about the last 30 maybe 15 minutes. the movie could have been longer. i'm watching aliens right now and it's actually kind of better so far.
I only watched Event Horizon once, and I was high, so I don't know if it was good or not. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it then, but again, I was high, so every thing is more enjoyable.
yeah i'll be high so... yeah.
Someone rate Minority Report on a 1/10 scale.

The movie is his own mental preparation for the worst. Great movie. [editline]4th February 2012[/editline]
Someone rate Minority Report on a 1/10 scale.
it's a good movie, stylistic sci-fi with a pretty decent concept. It tries hard to be moving, but it isn't. But the intensity makes up for it.
I just watched Chronicle. Quite dark, surprisingly good. 8.8/10

Also I'd give Minority Report maybe a 7.5 iirc, only saw it in the cinemas but I thought it was cool. [editline]4th February 2012[/editline] Also my limited edition Evil Dead boxset should be arriving any day got all them already but so much extras, gonna have to watch all 3 again lol
I could literally watch a full length feature film about monkeys if Stanley Kubrick directed it.
Only one I could find with the most footage of the segment, albeit with a few cuts here and there.
Someone rate Minority Report on a 1/10 scale.
10 the part about AK'z thingy where he says it tries hard to be moving but isn't is entirely false if you interpret the movie a certain way (in my mind, the right way) caragolpe, just watch the movie then read this, everyone else who has seen the movie and think it isn't deep enough read this. if you believe in death of the author this ending interpretation is wonderfully dystopian and personally one of my favorite "endings" in all of film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minority_Report_%28film%29#Ending
I like 2001 as an experience, not as a movie, if you know what I mean
Three Colors: White - 8/10 The weakest piece of the trilogy, it feels like it doesn't even belong with the other two as far as the mood goes. Still a very good film, still a worthy companion to Blue and Red, but not as essential, not as captivating and not as strange.
