The Beatles v3: Jammed Lemons Are My Favorite Fruit

No that album is absolutely amazing but 2012 is probably his best album in a while.
I enjoy this album a bunch.
Rock Island Line, Wings, and Samba are definitely my favorites.
Overall I really like this album, there's really anything I can really say I didn't like. Although I'm not too sure how I feel about the re-recording of Step Lightly. I really love that song and I feel like the re-recording changed a bit too much, but overall it's not too bad. But it's like the saying goes, "If it ain't broke don't fix it.".
I'd have to give this one an 8.75 out of 10. It's a really good album but seeing as there's only 9 songs, which is still a lot seeing as he's going on 72, and a few of them are covers/re-recordings anything higher than that seems like a bit much. It was worth the wait and I'm incredibly excited to (hopefully) see some of these live when he (hopefully) tours the US this summer.
That's my opinion of it.

Wow automerge just stop working after 18 hours you can't be trusted.
My brother just showed me the musical Across the Universe. It was horrible, turned it off within the first 5 minutes. They just butchered the songs in my opinion. Helter Skelter was cringe worthy. I am usually a fan of musicals but this was horrible.
I have a lot of love for Across the Universe, actually. (sans Helter Skelter. I agree, that's one of the worst covers I've ever heard) But the movie itself is fantastic, I think.
Also I love Jim Sturgess.
I'll have to give it another shot tomorrow. I got to Helter Skelter and I almost wanted to cry.
I don't hate Dana Fuchs. I think she has a gorgeous voice and did fantastic covers in Don't Let Me Down and Oh Darling! but Helter Skelter is just one of those songs that is exceedingly hard to cover properly and she just didn't have the proper voice for it.
That Helter Skelter cover was absolutely horrid. Every time I think of it my ears bleed for 5 minutes.
Instead then focusing on the negative, how about focusing on the positive?
Whats the best album?
I cant agree more. Giving it another chance now. Love The Cavern referance :v:
I still think the 'I Want You' cover/scene was awesome though.
Just finished it. Not as bad as I thought it would be but pretty average. I loved The Beatles referances and songs, even though not all the covers were that good. But it is nice seeing The Beatles being aknowledged 40 years or so after they split up. Probably wont watch it again but I am glad I watched it.
I think it's a great collection of covers bundled up in a really really average movie.
If it wasn't for the Beatles aspect it would be a very sub-par movie. Then again the Beatles aspect is the entire point of the film.

It couldnt watch it without The Beatles covers, very very mediocre love story. If you took The Beatles out of it would just be a bad romantic movie.
They also did not follow through with most of the characters at all.
Kisses on the Bottom is finally out!

I'm intrigued to hear it, but it's apparently an easy-listening album for old people. :v:

I like it so this is probably true.
But good lord is it relaxing. I almost fell asleep listening to it. :v:
it might actually be different to any of the stuff he did, except maybe for the alternate version of Ram.

dont be fooled by the name, it's Paul alright.
Wow that's fantastic.
I kind of wish that was the non-alternate version.

I've literally turned into a hawk from watching them.
I completely forgot about this thread. Although I've got nothing productive to say.
Can't wait to get Mccartneys new album on vinyl, I haven't actually listened to any songs of it because I don't want to ruin it, does anyone think it's any good?
paul was pretty awesome at the grammys
actually I dont think his valentine song was all that great, but the abbey road part at the end was awesome
Paul's new album isn't really something that should be performed live in a setting like the Grammys. It's too relaxed and slow and stuff, it just feels like it's in the wrong environment and it all seems off.
Dave Grohl was funny as shit. He headbanged through all his solos.
im pretty sure adele won approx 1/6 of the grammys
I mean I like Adele and all, but I can't listen to all of 21 in one sitting. Her voice is just really big and powerful and after awhile it's like "OKAY, WE GET IT YOU HAVE A GOOD VOICE"
