[release]Talk about stuff that isn't stuff you'd talk about elsewhere, etc etc Previous Threadlock due to Garry[/release] I've gotten back into digital painting as a side hobby and I'm doing lots of thinking about how to apply methods and techniques to my photography without things being blatantly noticeable alternatively, photography applied to painting for a surreal effect hmmm
Been photographing with my kit18-55 for quite awhile, next stop is a 50mm 1.4 right? right?
Could anyone tell me if theres a way that costs little or no money to attach a 62mm lens hood to a 49mm filter thread?
Anyone heard good things about opteka? Looking to buy a cheap fisheye lens.
Ahh cheers, do you know if that's the 0.2mm fisheye or the .35mm fisheye?
All I know is its the kit lens. Probably the cheapest one.

What a great way to start off the new year. Actually a can of whip cream exploded in my car while driving, not fun. It's actually pretty funny.

I had a Samyang 8mm a few years ago. I got mine for around $300. There's one that's practically the same from Bower, too.
quick question guys: what is the technique behind star trails? I'm eager to create some
Multiple long exposures (15-30 seconds) layered on top of each other in your photo manipulation program of choice.
I figured it was a long those lines but wasnt 100% sure, thankyou!
In case you guys haven't heard, there's going to be a meteor shower tonight! (Viewable in at least Michigan for all I know) What settings would you guys recommend for a night time meteor shoot like this? I've never tried shooting stars (or moving meteors before). I was thinking something like high f-stop (around f11 or f22ish), low iso (around 100), low shutterspeed (around 10, 15, 30 etc), and auto wb off. Would a 18-55 lens be good? Or should I use a zoom lens and focus on one part of the sky?
There are so many things I want to buy. I don't know whether to get a 50mm 1.4 or a xbox. And to go along with that, I need a new bag, a new tripod head, I would like a microphone and I need to sell all the old lens I have that don't fit my camera. (Including that P/KA adapter mount I got for free. Maybe sells for upwards of $100?!
