One more of my friends bought a longboard today!
Bump.I am saving up for Evo 2009 for christmas :D
Well my longboard had a small accident with a car today and as a result, is now split in two. The Gullwing trucks are still okay so I'll recover those for my replacement board. Only problem is that I have very little idea of what to get. I've been skating on my Sector 9 Pintail for about a year though I have no clue what to get to replace it. I'm looking for a board which is great for cruising around town, though isn't insanely long like my last one was. Any suggestions?
Now I am about to purchase a longboard for Christmas, I have no clue about longboards and whats obviously bad and good about one. Ive had my eye on this board though! http://www.skateboardexpress.com.au/discount-longboards-australia.html Could someone please tell me if its worth the money and if i should be looking elsewhere.
Many longboards aren't longer than regular skateboards...
I don't own a longboard but it's fun to roll with one. One of my friends own one.

Correction: It is skateboarding, but it's not freestyle skateboarding. PS: Skateboarding's gay go bmxing
Looks really chill, and I'm green of envy when I see the great weather. It's winter here :frown:
is a pintail deck good for carving and cruising? or would a kicktail be better?

I've been longboarding for a bout 2 years now and it is the funnest shit ever, the speed you can get downhill are fucking crazy.
I've always wanted to give this a shot, now that I've got back on the boards with some snowboarding I may pick it up come spring

I wish the weather wasn't so crap, I haven't gone longboarding in ages. :( My board, pretty good for the price. (£90)
this baby is mine TOMORROW
Nice, if it's anything like the Descent it'll be bouncy as hell, great for turns.
[img_thumb]http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4765/metalz.jpg[/img_thumb] Content revival. Hit a 15 story garage last night. This photo is the result. This is on floor 12 on my way down. Fun as shit. I need to get a good board with lots of flex though. This big-ass nosewalker is terribly difficult to turn, especially shooting down garages.
I'm looking into getting back into skating, and I want to get a long board. Any recommendations on boards?
Big old bump. I'm super serious into getting into longboarding now, but I'm still not sure whether I want a long dancer or something relatively short. I won't be going down any massive hills since my area is quite flat, I want something that is still fun and easy to use on the flat. Reccomendations? I'm probably going to get a loaded board, I know they're expensive but fuck it, it's was my birthday last week. I'm really decidig between dancer and dervish. I'll probably end up with a dervish because the dancer will be a lot harder to learn on.

Its almost done just need to get the sanding and paint on it.
Hey I longboard too so much fun
I'm extremely mega bumping this thread just to say: Longboarding is the best thing to happen to me since being born. I love it. I do it every day now. My discipline is Dancing, and I now have a Dervish and a Dancer, I'm getting pretty good. I just love to pump the board around and cruise, I just got cross stepping down. Seriously, I thank jawak for this thread, otherwise I may not have ever been aware of longboarding. Longboarding has become my way of life, my longboards, named Earl and Norman are by far and away my most prized possessions. Thank you Ultralast for your advice. I hope to longboard until the day I die. Thank you.
Ah, I love longboarding. I have the hill that's 2 miles long that I go on all the time.
I bought a landyachtz Battle Axe about 2 months ago, I love it, I've been riding as much as I can since I bought it.
I enjoy skateboarding and longboarding. People are extremely judgmental about hobbies, which is strange considering they're all there to create fun.
