That's an awesome story
:unsmith:
My tale of introduction was much less epic than yours, zydos. One night I just randomly asked my parents "Did The Beatles do any good songs?" Went onto limewire and DLed about 10 of their best songs, fell in love instantly.
oh yeah my story knowing the beatles is: i was looking for my GTA III CD back in 2002 so i go to our storage room it's full of vinyl and cd's there i was looking for my GTA and i saw the Album SGT.PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND and i thought it was some crappy shits that my Dad played on the room i also saw the Rubber Soul album but i tried to play the sgt.peppers album in the vinyl player then i heard the songs and i immediately love the song "With a little help from my frinds" so bring to my room listen to it all day long..and i thought the Rubber Soul Album was different so i tried it also and the songs a love their is "in my Life" and I'm Looking through you" i love these 2 Albums and at night i asked my Grandfather about the beatles and he told me everything he knows about them.. and i love the beatles starting that day..until now.. RIP John and George..
I haven't been here in a while! My story is pretty simple. One day I was driving somewhere with my Mom, and I was looking through a bunch of the CD's in the little storage box thing. I found Revolver, and I put it in the CD player. These were the first Beatles songs that I have ever listened to. I was immediately hooked. I got home, put the album on my iPod, listened to that non-stop for a week, then I bought the "1" album since it had a bunch of different songs. Eventually I would go on to buy the remastered collection and The Beatles: Rock Band, and the rest is history.
While I'll admit I was one of the people who learned about The Beatles from the Rock Band game, they have turned into one of my favorite bands. Too bad considering what everyone else in my class listens to :sigh: Anyway, this is my favorite song by them, hands down.
Gah, the video. Best clip from Yellow Submarine. Mostly just the trails of flowers behind them. So amazing
They are just so insanely unique. <3

Goddammit I love George Harrison.
George Harrison is (was :sigh: ) the best Beatle. This is not an opinion, this is a fact, mind you.
the best Beatle.
he wasn't the most "Beatle" like personality... he gave Beatles a new perspective. A more psychedelic, indian style like in Sgt. Peppers which was a superb song This is George Harrison as a Beatle.. it wasn't what The Beatles were... actually fuck what I just said I just confused it.. yes he definitely was the greatest Beatle :munch:

What I meant was that he was (in my opinion) the most talented, and the most versatile of the group. I also prefer his solo stuff over the rest of the group's.
I fucking love the Magical Mystery Tour album. There isn't one song on there I wouldn't mind listening to.
Kurt Cobain was my favorite beatle. RIP
I like Ringo Starr. because he is motherfucking Ringo Starr.
Hahaha, I was looking through my Biology textbook and in the Drugs section there's Magical Mystery Tour.
I fucking love the Magical Mystery Tour album. There isn't one song on there I wouldn't mind listening to.
Yeah, me too. No one seems to talk about it much, it always gets overlooked in favour of Sgt. Pepper and Revolver, but I love every song. Except Blue Jay Way. It's not a bad, song it just goes on a bit too long. And did you know, officially, it's not classed as an album? It's a double EP. But to me, the tracklist reads like a Best Of.
The Beatles is the best rock band EVER. [ yeah i really like the beatles. been a fan for ages. i remember i went to liverpool and we went to all the places like abby road (they had to paint abby road on the wall becasue people kept stealing the sign) there not a rock band as we know today so its hard to say that but although i like them pink floyed would have to be the best rock band of all time. also just a quick not "the bealtes is the best rock band" doesn't even make sence! talk about bad grammer.
The Beatles isn't plural, the Beatles, is a union- it is a singular noun. A quick note: Talk about bad spelling Troll?
I vote troll.
The Beatles isn't plural, the Beatles, is a union- it is a singular noun. A quick note: Talk about bad spelling Troll?
who was that guy? seriously...
The Beatles isn't plural, the Beatles, is a union- it is a singular noun. A quick note: Talk about bad spelling Troll?
In the UK they're plural.
Same in Australia. "The Beatles is awesome" just doesn't sound right.
The Rolling Stones is awesome :smug:
The Beatles isn't plural, the Beatles, is a union- it is a singular noun. A quick note: Talk about bad spelling Troll?
Of course "The Beatles" is plural. You say "The Beatles were/are the best band of all time", not "The Beatles was/is the best band of all time".
"The Doors is also awesome" :smug:
Anybody else really like the Anthology version of A Hard Day's Night? Not sure whether I prefer it, but I really do like it. More prominent Rickenbacker jangle, and I like the opening chord in this version.

I'm not a huge Paul fan but I think he had the most versatile voice of the bunch. With that being said George Harrison is probably my favourite Beatle, but objectively I wouldn't say he was the most talented in the group.
