I have that and Sgt. Pepper on vinyl. I'm hoping to pick up a remastered set of some albums (more specifically Rubber Soul and the White Album) by the end of the week.
did you buy them recently? if so they suck ass compared to the good old ones.
I love the Beatles sew much.
Hey check out this very professional, well researched, and very intelligent article on the beatles. http://www.cm-life.com/2009/09/09/the-beatles-are-overrated-enough-said/ damn this sounds like something I would read on Facepunch. In fact I've read better things on facepunch.
How can a band who stopped playing live shows in 1966 and started making just studio albums be ‘the greatest band ever’?
Because you couldn't even fucking hear them at the god damn concerts due to all the chicks screaming. fucking idiot.
My grampa who died two years ago met the beatles once. He worked as a security guard in an airport in the Philippines, My mom said that Ringo told him to help them get away from all the crazy fans, then after that he became chief of police. Or she could just be lying to me. She said she had pictures but the "forgot them back home" aahgahagah

The Beatles are amazing.(As you can tell from my name.) I've been listening to The Beatles since I was born, and I still listen to them the same amount today. They are without a doubt, one of the greatest bands in history, and always will be. No one will match their sound, and no one will match their playing styles. They defined the genre of rock, and for that they will be remembered forever. It's also interesting to note that they technically were the first band to start making music videos. They would come to America to be on TV shows to play songs so that Americans could see the Beatles without actually having to "see" them and pay money. But this grew tiring after a while so they recorded videos of them playing the music, then they would send the videos overseas, and people would play them on TV. It was something to see back then, and everyone was always equally excited, whether it was live, or recorded.
I like "All You Need Is Love" And yes, The Beatles are only the most famous band in the world, so I suppose they are awesome.
I just got the Sgt. Pepper's remaster, and Abbey Road on Vinyl for my birthday from a friend. I've been listening to Abbey Road moreso. I love my turn-table.
Rubber Soul is great
I was listening to the beatles (song: all together now) when i came across this thread.
Some impressions, after listening to some of my favorites in mono vs stereo. Anything not listed here is probably either something I don't like at all, or really like both the stereo and mono in their own ways. Dear Prudence Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, I prefer these two in stereo I'll Follow The Sun, stereo but everthing else from Beatles for Sale, that I like, in mono! From Hard Day's Night Any Time At All in mono and it sounds great Hard Day's Night itself, stereo, this is one track that benefits from stereo imo. You Can't Do That in mono Help! stereo, much like Hard Day's Night, this one just breathes better in stereo. The Night Before mono, really rocks You're Going To Lose That Girl stereo You've Got To Hide Your Love Away mono Magical Mystery Tour The Fool On The Hill stereo Hello Goodbye stereo MMT itself stereo I Am The Walrus mono Penny Lane mono I Want To Hold Your Hand mono This Boy stereo Day Tripper stereo I Feel Fine mono Revolution mono She Loves You mono All of Please Please Me has to be mono And Your Bird Can Sing stereo Doctor Robert stereo Tomorrow Never Knows stereo Rest of Revolver in mono Drive My Car in mono is a good example why all of Rubber Soul works better in mono, these songs really don't benefit from gimmicky stereo effects Sgt Pepper pretty much works fine both ways but A Day In the Life really uses stereo well Lovely Rita mono When I'm Sixty Four both shine best in mono With The Beatles- all mono
You all should see the Movie " Across the Universe" Awesome movie. All the music is Beatles songs And the characters are named after songs as well. MUST SEE!
I've actually never seen "Across The Universe" ALL the way through, but I have seen clips and it is good, you have a decent opinion, although I like every track better by the actual band except for "I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends". Other than that... I like the original band better. Might be getting The Beatles Rock Band sometime soon if they drop the price down from an arm, leg and first born child.
The Beatles are like, the ultimate cure for depression for me (that and a little prozac), no other songs are so uplifting and happy, songs like Eleanor Rigby, I want you, and While my Guitar Gently Weeps always put a smile on my face.

My favourite Beatle is Pete Best. [editline]05:52PM[/editline]
or "Help!" can't forget that.
They do have some depressing songs though like Getting Better and Octopus's Garden. They just make me really depressed.
The Beatles are by far my favorite band. My two favorite songs from them would be Strawberry Fields Forever and I am the Walrus, they both have a really eerie feel to them.
I am the walrus just... doesn't make any fucking sense. ...Which is why I love it so much. :)
here comes the sun do doo do dooo
here comes the sun do doo do dooo
Here comes the sun and I say... it's all right...
I am the walrus just... doesn't make any fucking sense. ...Which is why I love it so much. :)
Fun Fact: The song's lyrics were meant to be complete nonsense after John heard that a professor was looking very deep into their lyrics and he decided to fuck with him by making that song.
Fun Fact: The song's lyrics were meant to be complete nonsense after John heard that a professor was looking very deep into their lyrics and he decided to fuck with him by making that song.
yeah I heard that a while back. Good to know!
The beatles are awesome. :D Tomorrow never knows is one of my favourites.
You all should see the Movie " Across the Universe" Awesome movie. All the music is Beatles songs And the characters are named after songs as well. [editline]01:19AM[/editline]
Here comes the sun and I say... it's all right...
George was an awesome songwriter.
