I sleep to Embryo and Decapitated. Why exactly are we stating what we sleep to? Anyways, while "Seek and Destroy" is an amazing song, for me, the best song Metallica ever made is still "Creeping Death." That song is just so awesome. :awesome:
Hit the Lights will always be #1 for me. Not just my favorite Metallica song, but my favorite of all time. That song is raw power. [editline]12:29AM[/editline] Kill 'em All is probably my #4 favorite album of all time no question.

"Hit the Lights" and "Jump in the Fire" both. As is "Seek and Destroy." And "Metal Militia." And from Master of Puppets, "Disposable Heroes," "Leper Messiah," "Master of Puppets," and "Welcome Home" are all right up there.
Yup. Seek and Destroy I don't think is really that great but it's a top 10. Jump in the Fire is such a blast to play it's up there for sure. 1. Hit the Lights 2. Fight Fire with Fire 3. Call of Ktulu It's hard for me to continue from there since there are so many songs I love ):

I was watching a DVD of the Metallica 2009 concerts, and I felt really ashamed that a lot of the songs I didn't recognize, although the only albums that I don't have are Load and Reload, by the way, should I get them, or skip them altogether? My favorite song of all time is Orion. Next would have to be To Live Is To Die, Call of Ktulu. I just love their instrumentals.
I love welcome home. Master of puppets is proably my favorite Metallica album. 'Course, I haven't heard them all, but still.
wow listen to them all now [editline]03:01AM[/editline] how can your avatar say metal when you haven't listened to every song from kill em all
wow listen to them all now [editline]03:01AM[/editline] how can your avatar say metal when you haven't listened to every song from kill em all
I agree
You're probably right :v:
I like all of metallicas songs, all there albums are awesome up to and justice for all, but all the other beyond that is where it kinda went down hill, there is some select songs I like from them but there's not much. Also anybody remember Metal Church?
My favorite song of all time is Orion. Next would have to be To Live Is To Die, Call of Ktulu.
I agree, the instrumentals are awesome. I love to Live is to Die, Suicide and Redemption aswell, Ktulu is AMAZING and Orion, the interlude is awesome.
Its amazing how they are able to play for 8 + minutes with out the song getting boring.
I sleep to Kill 'Em All.
One of the best goddamn albums ever I wish Cliff never died COME BACK CLIFF WE LOVE YOU <333
lol it's not like cliff did any writing on that album other than his solo, it was all dave and james
I thought he was like... The driving force of their thrashy style?
they wouldn't have gotten far without him
Truth also why do you and Kyle have the same avatar
because it's that awesome emil also has it
I thought he was like... The driving force of their thrashy style?
no. Listen to the no life till leather demo, the songs are exactly the same and cliff isn't playing on any of them. He was what made them EVOLVE and create the beasts that are Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets, but Kill 'em All is all dave and james and lars. I will admit if you listen to metal up your ass (live demo) you could kind of draw from that that Cliff was what made them thrash (since the difference between Metal up Your Ass and No Life Till Leather is so dramatic) but I would attribute that to something entirely different. [editline]01:27PM[/editline]
they wouldn't have gotten far without him
they still would have had kill em all though, but yeah, no RTL or MOP
also why do you and Kyle have the same avatar
Because he's not a gold.
The look on Lars' face at about 2:42 is hilarious.
I'm listening to Metallica live in Iceland from 2004 or something. It was the biggest gathering ever in Iceland, with a staggering 10.000 people in audience. Too bad I was in Norway at the time, and I didn't even know Metallica. "Scannin' the scene in wreckjavhyk tonight..."

My favourite song from Garage is Overkill and Am I Evil, Breadfan is awesome aswell. Infact that album is pretty awesome in general.
it's all about killing time and LET IT LOOSE!
