So a buddy of mine found a sabre in a closet. We have no idea where it could be from and his parents don't know it either, but it has a symbol on it and maybe one of you knows! It's a Masonic sabre which was used to kill the real JFK while his body double's brain chip was set to self destruct. I can tell from the markings.
I think it comes from one of those tooth tigers.
The All Seeing Eye?
do not try and clean it up
Holy crap it's the JFK sabre!
Get that shit cleaned up and hang it on a wall after you find out what it is.
Holy crap it's the JFK sabre!
You have a sharp eye my friend.
looks ancient egypt might be worth a bit
How old are you?
Looks like a base for the third National Treasure movie to me.
Don't clean it up if your planning on selling it if it comes to any worth...
Ask a specialist, even if the cost only satisfies you curiosity.
Looks like a base for the third National Treasure movie to me.
Except that it's most likely a german sword. From germany. Did i forget to mention we live in germany? Woops then.
do not try and clean it up
This. If you try to clean it up, you could end up ruining it and destroying its value. (If it's worth anything)
I identify it as a +2 sabre (1h)

Show me a picture of the entire blade. I might be able to tell if its the real deal or not. [editline]11:04AM[/editline] Because right now it looks like a cavalry sabre or some ceremonial sword.
Speak to Deckard Cain.
Stick it up your ass.
It's a masonic ceremonial sabre, the all-seeing eye is a masonic emblem. Knowing masonic sabres, the inscription on the blade was probably the name of the owner in Latin, or encrypted in the mason cipher. It's worth a shitload if it's genuine.
And post pics of it.
Also DO NOT CLEAN THE SWORD. Half of its value comes down to the rust on it.
My friend will make more pictures tomorrow when he gets new batteries for his camera.
At most if you must clean the area of the inscription. That can be the key to us telling if its real or not.

Also, Kyle is correct. The rust on it can be used to determine its age and authenticity. Also are there any dents on the sharp end of the blade? Edit. From the existing pictures I can tell that the blade is pretty well dented and worn. This could be VERY good, or VERY bad.
Also are there any dents on the sharp end of the blade?
Sorry that i can't answer any questions, my friend has the sword, but he will take a shitton of pictures for you tomorrow.

The wristguard and the inscription on the blade especially. I wish I could look at this thing in person, I know sabres pretty well.
